For about a month, the Bay Area has been trying to comprehend what happened to Ray Taliaferro, a great talk show host for years on KGO Radio. He went missing in Paducah, Kentucky where he went with his wife of 6 months to inspect a property she had inherited. Ultimately he was found dead in a ditch. Apparently foul play has been ruled out, but we also learned he had dementia for the last five years. Ronn featured the South Bay today as he talked with San Jose's Mayor Sam Liccardo. As expected, Google dominated the discussion with their plans for a downtown campus near Diridon Station. It seems most of the (few( objections have been met and it['s a go pending next Tuesday's vote in the City Council. A main feature is that 25% of all housing will be affordable. Ronn talked with Mark Curtis, political contributor with patch.com.They discussed Michael Cohen, the President's former lawyer, who this morning said he lied to Congress about a Russian real estate project. Trump reacted by saying Cohen was "not a very smart person" and that he reached this new deal with the special prosecutor to get a more lenient sentence and press attention. The lead story of the day involved the former campaign chairman for Donald Trump, Paul Manafort. Ronn discussed this with National Security Reporter for the Washington Post, Devlin Barrett. The Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, says Manafort lied many times to federal investigators in breach of a plea agreement he signed two months ago. Since under the terms of the agreement, he cannot withdraw his guilty plea and thus may be sentenced to more than ten years in prison.
