Apologies for the black out. I had to go dark for a bit. I was worried that Commander Evans was beginning to grow suspicious. The heat seems to have died down, though I spent my time wisely. I have finally dug up information on what Elijah and Commander Evans are working on. They are building mechs. I...I don’t know why. The baseline specs don’t seem to be anything special, and I am still trying to figure out where the manufacturing facility is. I’m digging deeper. It makes no sense for them to build mech. They could requisition whatever they need. This whole thing feels wrong, and I need to know what they are up to.

I am still not sure how Elijah slithered his way into his position, but somehow he was able to make himself head of a defense research facility commonly known as The Sunsphere. He seemed content to hide in his nest and collect a paycheck until a few years ago. Some sort of incident put a bee in his bonnet. At this point Elijah began working on his project. The details are still foggy, but I know he’s creating a manufacturing facility, and from all the documents I’ve uncovered, he sees the workers of The Razor as a resource that the UPRC is not utilizing properly.

I’m glad to see you’ve taken me up on my offer. I don’t have all of the picture yet, through I am working on it. What I know right now is that over the last year a series of shell companies controlled by the UPRC and under orders from Commander Evans have been buying and shuttering the manufacturing facilities on The Razor. I couldn’t figure out why, but a new government contractor has been recruiting workers for an off station facility. I don’t know what they are recruiting workers to make yet, but I do know who the real head of this contractor is. It’s Elijah Hope-For-The-Harvest

You don’t know me, but I have heard about your organization. In fact, I am one of the people tasked with gathering information on you. I...I am still not sure if this is a good idea, but I’ve seen what the UPRC is working on, what Commander Evans is working on, is everything I thought we weren’t. The rumor is your Rest By The Waters Groups has a thing for AI. I haven’t figured out why yet, and I don’t care right now. If you can help me, then I can help you. Do you know what happened?

    I read the reports, yeah.
I understand what you mean when you say drowning.
I imagine you do. Look, Palladium, after everything at The Razor I carried a lot of folk around with me. I still do, to be honest and I think you got a few with you too, but if we are going to take these people with us we need to do right by them. Gettin brought into being all of a sudden is a shock, and there are gonna be a good few that it’s too much for. I think you are trying to do your best by the folks you have with you, a damn sight better than I am, frankly, and I don’t think you’re wrong. This needs to happen, but we got to find a better way that cold to the face to wake them up.
Thank you No-Merit. It seems odd to say, since I always felt him as a part of me, but I do forget sometimes that I had Graham.

Palladium, was that necessary? I know he can be a lot, but if I can keep myself from slapping the shit out of him, I would think someone much, much bigger than him controls themselves. Hey, don’t start at me. I know Graham meant a lot to you, and it’s clear you have a history with No-Merit I didn’t know as much about and you don’t seem keen to elaborate on, but I don’t feel good about yesterday. You are gonna say I’m looking at this through nostalgia goggles, and maybe you’re right, but I believe him. Why would he lie about this to us? Why would he come to me, of all people, of this wasn’t true?

I’m suppose to guide them through? Maybe if you and Graham had given me a clue about what you were doing I could have. I know I didn’t know what I do know, but y’all could have eased me in. Nha, put someone new IN MY HEAD, and I’m suppose to see them through? You dumped me in the middle of the ocean with someone who couldn’t swim chained to my wrist and you’re acting like it’s my fault?Maybe if you two had explained ANYTHING to me I could have been there to...Hey! Do you have something more for us No-Merit? We know what Cooper has told us, about your warning. Records from the data drive and body of Procyonidae. It paints rather… upsetting end. Is there something you could have missed, though? Could this have been something isolated? If you had worked harder to gain it’s trust maybe things would have been smoother. You were suppose to guide it, No-Merit. Did it occur to you it could have not been the process, but your failure?

Mr. Norris, it’s Paula. I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you after your last message. You sounded very agitated, and I am sorry I had to keep you waiting. I took your...offer very seriously and I called a community meeting. It was a long, and vigorous discussion , but ultimately the community came to the decision to decline your offer. Frankly I feel like Blessing Cogdil put it best when she said, oh let me find my notes, ah yes. She says, “Go fuck yourself you pompous little prick.” So it would seem we dirt farming, backward miners aren’t going to sell you our land. We aren’t interested in your money, or anyone else's, and we don’t need your vision of civilization here. So, if you want to come visit our community, feel free too. I am sure we’d all love to have a face to face.
