The Janice Jam is a rocking evening that will benefit breast cancer research and awareness with 100% of ticket proceeds benefitting the Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative (part of the Entertainment Community Fund) at Haswell Green's.
The brainchild of Matt DeAngelis (Waitress), DeAngelis lost his mother last year to breast cancer. To honor her and the countless people affected by this disease, he, alongside the Rock N Roll Debauchery team and Ember Productions, are culling an evening of Celebration, Remembrance and Awareness, that will have guests singing, dancing, and helping bring funding to this very special cause.
Slated* to appear are Omar Cardona (NBC’s “The Voice”), Charity Angel Dawson (Mrs. Doubtfire), Matt DeAngelis (Waitress), Christine Dwyer (Wicked), Caitlin Houlahan (Waitress), Emma Hunton (Freeform’s “Good Trouble”), Michele Mais (Rock of Ages), Javier Muñoz (Hamilton), Samantha Pauly (SIX: The Musical), Talia Suskauer (Wicked), and Ryan Vona (Parade), with additional performers and special guests to be announced. (*performers are subject to change.)
The event is produced by DeAngelis, Bryan Campione, Angel Reed, Ember Productions (Amber Coates and Maxwell Haddad), with Jonathan Ivie acting as musical director and Anita Shastri acting as stage manager.

It is a celebration! We are celebrating our 100th Thursday together on The Roundtable! Yes, The Roundtable is a daily podcast on the Broadway Podcast Network, a weekly exclusive on Broadway World, and much more, BUT at the heart of the show is the live Thursday chat! It is the "Hey Friend Hey," the "Week In Review," and of course the "Shameless Plug," because I'm shameless! If you do not know about it, subscribe on YouTube and see us tape LIVE!
We have our most visited guest on #100: The One & Only Miss Angelica Ross! We loved her as Candy in "Pose," on Broadway in "Chicago," and all her advocacy work, but she has us gagged with her new podcast "No Opportunity Wasted!" She has the deeped talks with some of the biggest names in Showbiz, Politics, and more! Hear all about it!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the hundreds of hours of watching, millions of views, all the follows, but mostly your time and friendship! This one's for you! Xo- Robert

“AUTUMN IN NEW YORK – VERNON DUKE’S BROADWAY”
Vernon Duke was the creator of such indisputable standards as “April in Paris” and “Autumn in New York.” His legacy as a Broadway composer ultimately rests on 1940’s Cabin in the Sky, but there are countless musical treasures written throughout his career – songs from Banjo Eyes, starring Eddie Cantor and Dancing in the Streets, starring Mary Martin. There’s even a curious meeting at the intersection of Vernon Duke and Ethel Merman – Sadie Thompson. Blackhurst has created a lively show devoted to possibly the only composer to dine regularly with Prokofiev and Gershwin. The show features arrangements by music director Michael Rice.
Klea Blackhurt is an actress, singer and comedienne who has appeared in legendary concert venues from The London Palladium to Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall to Jazz at Lincoln Center and with symphony orchestras from Atlanta to Boston, Pittsburgh to Philly. Most recently she appeared as Emma Goldman in Ragtime: The Symphonic Concert at Tanglewood with the Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart. As well as Ragtime: The Symphonic Concert with the Cincinnati Pops under the direction of John Morris Russell. Her New York theater credits include Party Face opposite Hayley Mills, Bingo, Radio Gals, Oil City Symphony, and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Her television appearances include “Pose,” “The Knick,” two seasons on “The Onion News Network” as legal pundit Shelby Cross, “Law & Order” SVU,” and “Sesame Street.” Last season, Klea appeared at the Ogunquit Playhouse where she continues her long association with The Nutty Professor, a new musical by Rupert Holmes and the late Marvin Hamlisch. Originally directed by legendary comedian Jerry Lewis, the show continues its bid for a Broadway run under the direction of Marc Bruni. Klea is a distinguished Alumna of the University of Utah. She is also a proud member of Mendez Boxing Harlem where she is known as The Belter.
