September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day. Extremely concerning information. Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) survey of April of this year shows 18% of Ontario students have seriously contemplated suicide in the past 12 months, 59% report being depressed and 39% say their mental health is worse. As the new school year is about to begin, we address these findings which although based on Ontario teens views may well reflect a similar national perspective.

Affidavit which formed the basis for search of former U.S. president Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago home released yesterday but heavily redacted. DOJ indicates materials marked "Top Secret" included in what was found at Trump's residence. German Chancellor Scholz in Canada to meet with Justin Trudeau. We're told Canadian LNG for Germany facing a gas/energy crisis will not be discussed. Instead, an agreement concerning future (perhaps 30 years from now) hydrogen exports from Canada will be signed. That would have been like Kim Campbell, in 1992, as PM signing a yet to be developed energy agreement for Canada to take effect now, in 2022.)

Meanwhile, Germany has again fired up coal plants, will limit public buildings heating this winter to 19 degrees Celsius and is turning off some traffic lights in Berlin in order to save gas.) Other nations turning to coal and fossil fuels again. And what will happen to Canada's energy costs this and in coming winters?

A missing dog was finally found more than 2 months after it went missing. Found some 500 Feet underground in a Missouri Cave System. The dog had been missing since June 9 and likely was in that cave system throughout.

Last weekend I spoke with Bruce Moncur, CAF Afghanistan campaign veteran himself was badly wounded, about the call of his organization Valour in the Presence of the Enemy for the awarding of the Canadian Victoria Cross to Private Jess Larochelle for his heroism in battle in 2006.. Bruce Moncur and General Rick Hillier appeared on air with us a year ago with the same recommendation. This past week the federal government made it official that the effort for a CVA for Jess Larochelle is a no go, as they responded to an electronic national petition E3636. Not one Canadian Armed Forces member has been awarded the Victoria Cross or the Canadian Victoria Cross since WWII

Today the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz begins a 3 day tour of Canada with a delegation of German business and energy execs. Germany is facing massive energy and economic deficit/challenges (office and public buildings must keep max heating at 19 degrees Celsius this winter) and rolling blackouts may occur. Why is this happening? Germany's own poor energy planning and management? Is it a leap to expect Scholz will be looking for LNG energy help from Canada? According to the Trudeau government such discussions will not be on the table. And how often does a German Chancellor visit Canada?
