A question we assembled for today's program: The Super Bowl / Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce intersection.
On February 10, Taylor Swift's Eras tour stops in Tokyo.
On February 11, Super Bowl LVIII takes place in Las Vegas
On February 16, Taylor Swift's Eras tour resumes in Melbourne
If Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs win against the Baltimore Ravens tomorrow and are in the Super Bowl, is it likely Taylor Swift will fly 11 hours and 30 minutes from Tokyo to Las Vegas immediately following her February 10 performance, to be in attendance at the SB supporting boyfriend Travis Kelce in Vegas, February 11 (even in a private jet) and then turn around to fly 16 hours and 48 minutes from Las Vegas to Melbourne to prep for the resumption of the February, 16 Eras tour date? Is this what entertainment world superstars might do, or is it too big an ask, even for love?
We ask one of the most knowledgeable music/entertainment experts. - As well for our guest, what are some of the more 'unusual' things music/entertainment stars have done in the name of love??
Guest: Eric Alper (Thatericalper.com) 16 times JUNO Award winner and nominated six times as Publicist of the Year during Canadian Music Week.

On Tuesday 28 year old Bezhani Sarvar is alleged to have entered Edmonton city call carrying a long gun and incendiary devices described as long guns. Sarvar, according to Edmonton police statement "once inside City Hall he lit several handheld incendiary devices, believed to be Molotov cocktails, that caused one small fire outside an elevator. He then fired several shots from a long gun into the ceiling, walls and windows." There is reported to be a video, writes Joe Warmington of the Toronto Sun, in a column which also appeared in the Edmonton Sun, in which Sarvar is believed to be heard citing "this genocide that's going on in Gaza and throughout the world." The voice on the video, includes "we will rise up against you guys, and we'll put you on trial." Rambles on about climate change, taxes and more.
Joe Warmington wonders why this assault at Edmonton City Hall has received so little attention nationally. Joe's column is headlined: "This was a jihad-like terror attack in Canada that no one seems to know about."
AND
Joe added to his columns about goings-on in Alberta on Thursday with one headlined "Tucker Carlson drops bombs Alberta won't soon forget" as the former FOX News show host, appearing at an event with premier Danielle Smith, as well as other conservative figures in Canada and making remarks challenged as homophobic and far-right American. The premier is as well as targeted by federal Liberals and federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh for appearing with Tucker Carlson.
Guest: Joe Warmington. Featured columnist Toronto Sun/Edmonton Sun.

Inflation numbers for December of '23 are not good news for the Bank of Canada - at the WEF Canada's Deputy PM and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland defined "decarbonization" as the singular issue defining the world economy. - Mark Carney, former Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England told the WEF "the world is being rewired" and to expect more shocks in the supply chain. - Major corporations Citigroup, Amazon and Google announcing layoffs. - Donald Trump likely to win the GOP nomination for president, his other troubles notwithstanding - and were Canada to experience a federal election this year, perhaps without the participation of Justin Trudeau would such a development have a measurable impact on the Canadian economy?
Guest: Professor Eric Kam. Macroenconomics. Toronto Metropolitan University.
A quickly changing world? A greater percentage of young Canadians than even young Americans support Donald Trump (poll) - In Europe populist Georgia Meloni of Italy was elected prime minister while in Argentina, populist Javier Milei was elected president (after few considered him electable just months earlier). In the Netherlands, Geert Wilders considered extremist anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim saw himself and his party win the most seats in the national election last November. Wilders poised to become PM. - In Sweden, an anti-immigration and nationalist bloc of parties won a majority in the country's parliament. At the WEF Argentina's Milei warned against the West turning to socialism.
