Today’s episode explores the depth of God’s grace and kindness. As Jesus journeys toward Jerusalem, the crowds gather closely around Him, listening and watching. Along the way, He tells a powerful story—one that reveals what grace looks like in the Kingdom of Heaven. In Matthew 20:1–16, we hear the parable that challenges our sense of fairness and invites us to see generosity the way God does.

But the road to Jerusalem carries more than teaching moments. After speaking to the crowds, Jesus quietly gathers His disciples and pulls them aside. With solemn clarity, He begins to tell them what awaits Him in the city ahead—the suffering, the rejection, and the sacrifice that will unfold once they arrive. This sobering moment is recorded in Matthew 20:17–19, Mark 10:32–34, and Luke 18:31–34.

Together, these moments reveal a powerful contrast: the boundless grace of God’s kingdom and the costly path Jesus willingly walks to make that grace possible.

Today, there is so much wisdom waiting for us in the Gospels. In these passages, Jesus teaches us the importance of being persistent in prayer—coming before God again and again with faith and trust. But He also reminds us that prayer is not just about persistence; it’s about the posture of our hearts. We are called to approach the Father with humility.

As we spend time in Luke 18:1–30, Mark 10:1–31, and Matthew 19, Jesus offers powerful insight into several important topics. He speaks about marriage and divorce, the beauty of having a childlike faith to enter the Kingdom of God, and the sobering truth about how difficult it can be for the rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

In this episode we are reading Luke 16-17 and John 11. Here are a list of topics Jesus will be discussing:

Between each lesson, Jesus is healing leaprosy, calling out Pharisees on their "righteous lives", and raises Lazarus from the dead which leads to the Pharisees having secret meetings to kill Jesus.

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will Then you will receive all that he has promised.

Today we’re reading Luke 14 & 15. Jesus is using multiple parables to teach us about humility, the cost of being a disciple, and how the Kingdom of God rejoices when one person repents of their sins.

As we read John 10:22–42, Jesus is drawing closer to Jerusalem. People press him to say plainly whether he is the Messiah. Yet his answer has already been given—not just in words, but in the signs and works he has done before them. Still, they refuse to believe and pick up stones against him.

In Luke 13, Jesus calls the people to repent. He heals a woman crippled for years, even though it is the Sabbath, exposing the hardness of his opponents. Through parables he describes the kingdom of God, and he mourns for Jerusalem—the city that so often rejects God’s messengers, the place where prophets go to die.

Verse of the Day: Romans 5:8

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

In Luke 11:37-12:59, Jesus is causing division as he's criticizing the religious leaders; teaching about hypocrisy, money and possessions, and the Lord's coming.

Verse of the Day: Psalm 1:1-3

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Today as we read Luke 10:1-42, we learned the harvest is plenty, but the workers are few. Jesus has sent out another seventy-two disciples to spread The Good News from town to town ahead of him. Jesus also teaches a religious expert an answer to the great question "who is my neighbor?"

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 4:32

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Today we read John 9:1–10:21. A man blind from birth is healed—on the Sabbath—sparking fierce controversy. The Pharisees refuse to believe Jesus is from God or that such a miracle could happen. Jesus exposes their true blindness, declaring himself the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep, while they are merely thieves and hired hands who do not truly care for the flock.

To godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
