It was an uncomfortably hot and dry day in February of 2016, when two backpackers, one from Germany and one from Brazil, struck up a friendship and decided to head to Melbourne, Australia from Adelaide.  They asked to share a ride with 59-year-old Roman Heinz. Little did they know, they had accepted a lift from a man who was planning a vile and terrifying attack.
