Adam and Eve hid from the Lord among the trees of the garden as He walked in the cool of the day.

Jesus reveals his Glory to Peter and Peter wants to build sanctuaries (religious structures) out of fear. Peter tries to build the church, but Jesus builds the Church out of Peter. We can’t build the Church because we are the Church. Jesus is our vision and worship is our strategy, for we are Jesus’ vision and the church (us) is His Strategy.

There are two mirrors that we can look into to see ourselves. One is the mirror of the law, the knowledge of good and evil. When we try to judge ourselves and justify ourselves with the use of that mirror, we create a monster. In Christ God fully filled that mirror with Himself. This is the mirror of Grace. Christ crucified on the tree of law. With it we are made in God’s image.

“God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.” (Romans 11:32) The Tree of the knowledge of good and evil is the Tree of Law. God “consigns” me to eat of it so that I might KNOW Mercy. God is Mercy.
