The Sandler Pit

This week, The Sandler Pit is going all the way back to where it all began. Luke and Luke are watching 'Going Overboard', the 1989 comedy film in which a very young Adam Sandler plays Shecky, a waiter on a cruise ship who dreams of becoming a comedian.

Will 'Going Overboard' cruise it's way into The Sandler Castle, or will it sink into The Sandler Pit?

On The Sandler Pit this week, Luke and Luke dig in to the 2003 comedy film 'Anger Management', in which Adam Sandler plays a guy called Dave Buzznik who has to take an anger management course run by Jack Nicholson in order to avoid a prison sentence.

Will 'Anger Management' pass the course and earn a relaxing stay at The Sandler Castle, or will it get imprisoned in The Sandler Pit where it will go insane?

Light the candles, it's time for a birthday party.

This week we're celebrating as Luke Thomas turns 26, our boy is all 'Grown Ups'! We're going to be watching a film all about some other 'Grown Ups' in which Adam Sandler and friends have a wacky little holiday.

But will 'Grown Ups' take a water slide into the Sandler Castle, or will it be confined to an eternity of dad jokes in The Sandler Pit?

This week, The Sandler Pit will be digging into Adam Sandler's magic-realism-comedy-drama film 'The Cobbler', in which a magic sewing machine allows Sandler to transform into the owners of shoes that he has fixed. That is genuinely the plot of this film.

Will 'The Cobbler' be walking into The Sandler Castle, or will it trip and fall into The Sandler Pit?

New year, new episode.

To kick off 2021 Luke and Luke are digging into Adam Sandler's comedy/drama 'Funny People', in which he plays a comedian who falls ill, befriends a young comedian and also revisits an old relationship.

Will 'Funny People' deliver enough laughs to land a residency in The Sandler Castle, or will it crash off stage into The Sandler Pit?

Have you recovered from that Christmas special? We hope so, because now it's time to celebrate as we bid farewell to 2020.

Join us for The Sandler Pit New Year's party where we will be digging into Adam Sandler's romantic comedy 'The Wedding Singer'. We even have an extra special guest joining the festivities in the form of Mr Andrew Terry, father of Luke Terry. Andrew was mentioned back in our first episode as he famously stated once that this was his favourite film EVER.

Will 'The Wedding Singer' hit all the right notes and deserve celebration in the Sandler Castle or will it get jilted and die alone in The Sandler Pit?

In this bumper holiday special Luke and Luke celebrate the most wonderful time of the year by giving each other Sandler related gifts, playing a couple of Sandler Games and discussing the unexpected joys of the Kevin James Youtube channel. The Lukes also go head to head in 'The Sandler Pitch', in which they create their own ideal Sandler films and then get a jury of friends, family and listeners to decide upon the best film.

So light a fire, pour yourself some eggnog and strap in for a wild festive journey into The Christmas Pit!

Tell your friend Veronica, it's time to celebrate Hanukkah!

This week we're digging into Adam Sandler's animated Hanukkah themed movie, 'Eight Crazy Nights' in which Sandler voices numerous characters including an aggressive drunk called Davey and a friendly yet irritating small man named Whitey Duvall. Will this film be rewarded with eight crazy nights in The Sandler Castle, or will it spend eternity in The Sandler Pit?

Time to spice things up with a little Schneider!

This week The Sandler Pit takes a bit of a tangent and digs into the Rob Schneider led Comedy/Sci-Fi film 'The Animal'. Adam Sandler takes a backseat here, lending his Producer talents and a small cameo to help out his buddy.

Will 'The Animal' be taken for a walk to The Sandler Castle, or will it get put down and buried in The Sandler Pit?
