Gilly Flaherty is an English footballer who plays for the West Ham United Women’s team. Gilly is the captain of the team and was recently voted player of the year by her team mates.

An England international, she joined West Ham United Ladies on the back of four years with Chelsea F.C. Women, during which the centre-back secured two FA Women’s Super League championships and two Women’s FA Cups. Gilly moved to West Ham having won no fewer than 22 pieces of silverware during her career so far.

Gilly made her senior debut for Arsenal in October 2006 in a League Cup contest with Birmingham City at just 15-years-old, and was a part of the Gunners squad that claimed a quadruple of trophies the following season. Gilly also has nine England caps to her name, having made her Lionesses bow in a fixture with China in October 2015.

Outside of Football, Gilly has ventured into the world of business having very recently opened up the Cryo Lounge, in Kent, one of only four Cryo centres in the South of England using this ever growing form of treatment. Already she has been working with teams, athletes and even superstar boxers.

Gilly talks to Sandro about how inspirational her father was in getting her into the sport, overcoming sexist attitudes towards women in football and why she wants everyone to introduce Cryotherapy into their lives.

Andrew Shelley is known to many as ‘Mr. Squash’. Having been involved in the game for the last 43 years, he is about to leave his role as CEO of the World Squash Federation. Previously, Andrew has held roles heading up the British game and the World Women’s tour as well as tournament director for the British open, the ‘Wimbledon of squash’, for 18 years and the Commonwealth Games since its inclusion in 1998. Lucy Beckwith comes from a family with tourism in their blood. She’s a Director, along with her brother Matthew, at City Cruises; the biggest tour boat operator on the River Thames in London. Her parents first set sail into the world of tourism in 1985 when they launched ‘The King’ to allow tourists to see London from the comfort of a boat. In 1996 they set up ‘City Cruises’ which sails more than an astounding 4 million passenger journeys every year and employs over 300 staff, and it also offers the same service in York and Poole. Mark Colbourne MBE knew from a young age that all things take time and that he was destined to speak professionally and teach others important skills, some of life’s lessons and thought provoking messages which could help them work towards a particular outcome.

Once a triathlete and paraglider, Mark’s life changed forever when over the clouds of his beloved South Wales, his paragliding canopy collapsed. Mark Abraham is the CEO of start-up Black Pearl Partners, a company formed in late 2018, a business that is primarily a sports agency that works with brands to maximise their return on investment particularly in the world of sports sponsorship investment. At the age of just 27 Mark is also director of the Nth Degree club, a world renowned dining club and is under 30s committee member of the members club, The Ned.
