This week's  NBA Report centers around Anthony Davis and his agent's recent open request to be traded in the news.   Chris and Dave break down why the Celtics can't trade for him until the offseason AND why Davis is not likely to be traded before the end of the season anyway.   Later we cover devastating injuries around the league:  Victor Oladipo has season ending surgery leaving the Pacers to rally without their best player.  Plus, we cover other news and notes and possible trades in the NBA as the league heads closer to the all-star break.

Ari in Philadelphia and Gerry in Piscataway, the baseball crew, return to chat about the slow offseason so far in MLB.   The two biggest names, Bryce Harper currently of the Nationals, and Manny Machado who last played with the Dodgers, have yet to sign with a team for 2019.   We discuss the lack of activity, why owners are getting so cheap, and how the practice of holding out for free agents is hurting the sport.  Later, we cover moves that actually took place, including the Dodgers trade of Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp to the Reds and the subsequent signing of OF A.J. Pollock.  The Yankees add some depth with 2B D.J. LeMahieu and RP Adam Ottavino, plus others, and the Mets... Ari will break down what the Mets did.  All this and more as we cover the MLB Offseason so far in the City.

We're glad to bring back Kevin on the Cape (now in the Berkshires) for our special 10th Anniversary edition of "Random Questions."   This time out Dave will catch up with Kevin's new family life: a newborn baby boy, continued good health, and more athletic challenges for Kevin and his wife Sunie.  Later, we take in your questions submitted via social media as we commemorate ten years of DITCOW podcasts.

Chris and Dave return for this week's NBA Report.  On this edition we look at the streaking Brooklyn Nets, who tried to get to .500 against the Rockets and may be have a good chance to make the playoffs.  We also compare the Bucks and the Raptors and decipher which team is better built for the playoffs.  Finally some other news and notes, a historic first quarter for the Warriors, another delay for LeBron's return to the Lakers, and some movie talk sprinkled in.

On this special retrospective show, Dave presents his top 5 episodes of 2009, the first year of the podcast's history.   Featured in this special are clips from Dave and "Coach" Andrew's pilot shows from way back in 2005!  Later we roll out the top 5 episodes of 2009.  From a hilarious Lakers roundtable between Dave and his old buddies Bricio and Jacob to some off topic discussions about hamburgers with Dave and Coach which foreshadow future Random Questions shows with Kevin on the Cape.  Also a flashback to when Dave contemplated the move from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles.   The special closes with a clip of Andy in Seattle's debut podcast with other odds and ends in between.

The Football Picks crew is back joining Dave to recap an outstanding performance by the Clemson Tigers in the CFP Championship Game, dominating Alabama 44-16.  We also share our thoughts on the rest of the bowl season and then segue to NFL talk as we recap a Chargers upset win over the Ravens, the Eagles stunner in Chicago, and more.  PLUS, Dave reveals the winner of the Football Picks contest and we look ahead to the NFL's Divisional Round games.

John, Ron, Andy, and Dave return for our Football Picks Finale!   This week we cover another very exciting week of NFL action, with the Chiefs narrowly avoiding a loss and the Patriots getting shocked by the Dolphins on the last play.   The Steelers can't get out of their own way, the Vikings look lost on offense, and the Packers' new look coaching staff makes a splash.  From College Football we get Ron and Andy's Bowl previews including their favorite bowls and "bowls they wouldn't watch in their back yard."   Lastly we get to the picks.  We lead off with the Week 15 NFL picks and continue later with our College Bowl picks of the season.   To close up the year, we offer some Christmas/Hanukkah holiday thoughts and say farwell to the 2018 DITCOW Podcast season.  Last show of 2018 until we resume in January.  Happy Holidays!
