This week’s episode gets right into the recap as we discuss the very safe second episode of “Suits LA.” 

Then Sejohn was turned off by the art style of the new Beat ‘Em Up game releasing this week featuring Lee Falk’s The Phantom that he ended up skipping the demo, and Devon is standing by to confirm the game isn’t much better when being interacted with. 

This leads the discussion towards some of our good and bad experiences with gaming before we discuss how there used to be whole stores dedicated to selling toys and how that industry has changed in our lifetimes.

Finally we discuss the Lost Media Trailer for the cancelled CW Powerpuff Girls adaptation that totally made us regretful that the series never came to fruition. 

This episode has Devon seeing red when a third show uses the inciting incident from the film and novel “Fletch” for its plot. 

After that Sejohn helps gets things back on track with the introduction of our new segment where we dedicate 16 minutes to recapping the latest episode “Suits LA”  and after the first episode both Say Reporters are left with more questions than answers.

Then a brief glimpse in to the video games we have been playing leads to a revelation for Sejohn regarding “Monolith” becoming “Star of Providence” after being acquired by Dunkey’s Big Mode Studios and a promise to report back next episode after some more research.

Bringing it in for a landing Devon shares his thoughts about the final episode of “My Name is Earl,” after rewatching the series in the wake of Ethan Suplee revealing the originally planned finale we missed due to series being unceremoniously and unexpectedly cancelled.

Along the way both of your host-companions reveal how this film touched them in significant and personal ways and is more than likely directly responsible for them growing up to be the men they are today.

In this episode of The Say Report we have finally muddled through all the legalese related to the AMC A-List and are happy to report our findings, before using it as a leaping off point to discuss the changes made to the subscriber agreements for Hulu and Disney+ and why you still will need two memberships if you want to access all that both platforms have to offer.

Then Sejohn takes some time to share his experiences with “The Pedestrian” before Devon lavishes praise on Gelato Games for their prompt response to a glitch in their latest release “Guns of Fury” and how good customer service sometimes isn’t good enough for fans of the metroidvania genre.

Closing things off is a discussion about the changes we have noticed in broadcast television that may be acting as harbingers of the type of content to come as our world changes. 

In this SPOILERIFIC bonus Mini Review, that admittedly stretches the definition, the Say Reporters take a moment to express their feelings on the latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what it may indicate for the future of these films. 

This episode marks the 500th piece of The Say Report related media and to celebrate the occasion we aren’t doing anything flashy or impressive.

Instead we buckle down to share how cold it is in each of your respective Say Reporters regions, discuss how we’re feeling after the events of Super Bowl LIX, discuss some Hallmark movies, new plans for consuming media, the latest example of Sony puppeting a course, and the recently released Metroidvania that claims to have added some Metal Slug into the mix. 

One of your hosts has a new desk this episode and to demonstrate its versatility spends the first 8 minutes or so of the episode folding laundry. Mundane chores present a nice way for The Say Reporters to dip their heads into some of the darker things that have been going on in the country the past week and helps support the ways we find to distract from all that negativity. 

Devon has decided to distract himself by jumping back in to the world of TMNT: Splintered Fate using the new DLC featuring Casey Jones as an excuse and while the new content has fixed a lot of the issues he was experiencing with the game there are some new wrinkles to discuss. 

Sejohn meanwhile has utilized film and television as his distractions and lovely discussions about the first season of “Creature Commandos” and the films he got to watch at this year’s Sundance Festival abound

After our latest recording session we accidentally stumbled into a discussion about the newest animated Spider-Man series on Disney+ and decided to use that as an excuse to resurrect our mini review format in a bonus mini review episode. 

Sejohn indulged in Devon’s request and used his local ABC affiliate’s website to watch an episode of High Potential and now The Say Reporters are applying their vast knowledge of popular culture to determine if the episode was written by AI or if Rob Thomas (not the Matchbox 20 guy) is actually responsible for this extremely strange episode of television

Following that up we discuss the futures of Sony’s Playstation and Microsoft’s Xbox brands in the wake of the Switch 2 reveal. 

On the topic of Nintendo we share more fan-generated content from Devon’s sister Dayle as she offers her thoughts and complaints related to the Pokemon cards promotions currently going on at McDonald’s.

Finally Devon spent some more time with Super Adventure Island 2 and his “Random” experiences may shock and amaze you.
