This episode sees the Say Reporters share their opinions on the ever evolving Joey Chestnut/Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest debacle while also rounding out a solid list of enemies that would make perfect fodder if we ever make a beat ‘em up style video game inspired by our adventures! 

Then, because this episode is the product of an early recording session, Devon has a list of eight topics he wants to make sure get coverage including films he’s watched, video games he’s beaten, and corrections and clarification he feels must be made since the last episode. 

In this episode the Say Reporters tackle some fairly controversial thoughts about the current states of the NBA and NHL finals that then act as the support structure for a deeper discussion about sports as entertainment.

Then we turn our attention to Hollywood and the success of the Bad Boys franchise and what a 62 Million Dollar opening for “Inside Out 2” really means at this time.

Finally Video Games round out the episode as Sejohn shares his experiences with the early access release of “Quest Master,” Devon gives an update on the game he has been beta testing, and the bait and switch nature of the “Elden Ring” DLC prompts a deeper discussion about the FromSoftware catalog. 

A discussion about the the death of Hollywood and the ever changing landscape of the Video Game Industry presents as the perfect storm that finally gets Devon to lose the battle, breakdown, and discuss "Collateral Beauty," and its weird triple twist plot that involves the personifications of Love, Death, and Time gaslighting high powered executives at Christmas time in an attempt to recreate Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol.

We also discuss the latest video games and movies we've seen as well as floating theories about what to expect from some of the announced remakes we'll see released later this year. 

It’s a catch up episode this week at The Say Report when Devon and Sejohn share the other things that occupied their time during Brendan Fraser History Month. 

Unsurprisingly after a brush with the awkwardness of going back out into the real world for socialization… the conversation turns to the video games that the two have been playing and the broader landscape of gaming as it was reflected this past week with Sony’s State of Play event.

Boil your Dr. Pepper and strap in tight for this Double Header episode celebrating two of Brendan Fraser’s films that are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year: "Blast From the Past" and "The Mummy" 

We kick things off with Devon and Sejohn reporting from the Bunker on “Blast From the Past” and exploring how the film has aged, how it was the perfect vehicle for Brendan despite its disappointing showing in the box office, and finally how it may in fact have been evidence of too much of a good thing being the cause behind the failure. 

Then for game two we are joined by our Quizmaster General Will Fournier for two quizzes that tell us which character from the film we are and test our knowledge of the film that launched this whole crazy train a rolling. 

There was a third film that Brendan was in in 1999, “Dudley Do-Right,” and if you want to listen to our thoughts on that one we recommend going all the way back to 2022 to our episode entitled “The Anniversary Report” where we take a deep dive into Dudley Do-Right while also celebrating Devon’s Parent’s Anniversary! 

Finally after many years and false starts Devon and Sejohn are ready to discuss Martin Scorsese's film adaptation of David Grann's true crime novel "Killers of the Flower Moon." As a bonus, since this is the first project featuring newly minted Academy Award Winner for Best Action Brendan Fraser it makes perfect sense for it all to happen during Brendan Fraser History Month.

However, before we can discuss the film, we have to discuss the leaps and bounds that have occurred in these early days of the third wave streaming wars. Especially since in the two weeks that we first broached the topic lines have been draw in the sand and alliances formed revealing who will be working together in an attempt to find themselves the definitive king of streaming entertainment. 

We're taking a break from Brendan Fraser History Month so Devon can have a much needed self-care Sunday, so we present to you this Time Capsule episode where Devon and Sejohn take a trip back to the “Barnyard” and use the Nickelodeon film that would go on to spawn a 52 episode television series as a jumping off point for a discussion about Nickelodeon’s business practices, the way that parent’s reacted to the channel, and how their approach to animated films effected the industry. 

Welcome to Brendan Fraser History Month 2024 where we are kicking off the festivities with a discussion about the third season about the streaming comic book series that could “Doom Patrol”

Of course before we discuss all of the depressingly fun things that occurred in the third season of Doom Patrol, from death, to diagnoses, to death robots,  we must first shed some light on the current streaming entertainment landscape and how the market has shifted in the five years since the series premiered and the three years since the third season aired. 

Devon had something come up this week so we are recording later than usual with the addition challenge of having a hard out so that Sejohn can ensconce himself in culture. 

Even with that in mind the Say Reporters are able to lightning round through some topics and might even have an explanation for what FOMOOCon is and how Devon’s case was cured.
