Devon saw FOUR sequels over the course of the last three days so naturally we called this episode The Sequel Report.

Unnaturally, despite the title this descends into a weird examination and celebration of modern Pizza technology, David Lightman being the hero we need in 2018, and the cancellation of some high society nuptials.

Longing to remember the summer after graduating High School, Devon brings us on a musical journey through A New Found/Glory’s second EP “From the Screen to your Stereo.”

Luckily even though he hadn’t heard in its entirety before the day this episode was recorded Sejohn also has some lovely memories to share related to this album

Overall this is a pretty deep dive and analytical analysis of the commercial, personal, and political reasons as to why this bit of art exists.

Despite the best effort of your host companions neither was able to see Incredibles 2 this past week so the promised conversation must be sadly postponed.

In lieu of that we take a critical look at all of the ranking of Pixar films that have been going on in wake of their latest film’s releases and question the true motivations of such actions.

Finally Devon shares some issues he had both on and off screen with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom before recounting the actions he took this past week to prove his love to Sejohn.

This episode starts with a discussion of our favorite kind of Dan Aykroyd films before spiraling into Sejohn discussing his week full of Disney movies.

Unfortunately Devon’s own experience with a Disney film this past week leads this episode into “Grumpy Old Man” territory as the guys discuss the various changes that have happened to the world of children’s entertainment and contemplate how they were able to survive it as kids.

We’ve always liked to think that if we were tested that we would pass and it turns out to be the case (knock on wood)

We take our new found lease on life as a cue to examine music and movies from our past and how we were effected by the reboots, remakes, and re-recordings of both in our younger and more impressionable years (read: College)

Finally the release of Hotel Artemis sparks a discussion about modern review practices and the release of Ocean’s Eight calls for praise from Devon and a chorus of “wait until I’ve seen it” from Sejohn.

Plus we reveal the topic of our very special episode for June just because its prescient considering everything else we discussed this week.

We begin this episodes by airing some complaints and disappointments regarding driving, “Trust,” and video games.

Which leaves the path clear to discuss happy things about Show Dogs, “Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon,” and next Brendan Fraser History Month.

Originally Devon wanted to call this episode “I Hate ‘I Hate Valentines Day’ “ but then when he found out how small it’s gross was it was decided there was no reason to flog a dead horse. Still Sejohn had seen the film too so we start with a discussion about the film.

Next we transition into talk about a long dormant topic… DUCKTALES! (Woo-oo) and the new episodes that have begun airing and then segue into Devon complaining about Deadpool 2 while Sejohn fins enjoyment in his disappointment.

Then we end the episode with a though experiment… YAY!
