  • 7/23/18 Trita Parsi on Iran
Trita Parsi discusses President Trump's recent showdown with President Rouhani over Twitter. Some have suggested that much like with North Korea, Trump is simply using harsh language as a tactic to set up negotiations, but, Parsi argues, in the case of North Korea, the rest of the region were American allies who also wanted peace—in this case Iran's neighbors are not friendly toward America, and may even stand to gain from a war with Iran.

  • 7/25/18 Mance Rayder on Political Prisoner Ross Ulbricht and Silk Road
Mance Rayder is the host of the "Free Man Beyond the Wall" podcast, and the author of "Freedom Through Memedom" and the "Kids Are Not Alright". Mance details the case of Ross Ulbricht, former volunteer for the Ron Paul campaign and operator of the Silk Road web marketplace, arrested in 2013 for operating the website as a drug kingpin. The infiltration of the site by the DEA, and subsequent arrest of those agents for corruption in his case, is detailed, as well as his two term life prison sentence received for his activities. The count of Murder for Hire was ultimately dismissed with prejudice by the prosecutor in the case, despite the fact that this was the charge used to deny him bail and was brought up by the judge at his sentencing, and various media outlets released articles falsely claiming to be proof of his guilt this crime.

  • 7/23/18 Phil Giraldi on the Russia Indictment
Phil Giraldi, former CIA officer, comes back on the show to talk about the recent Russia indictment, which he claims just doesn't add up. For instance, why launch a criminal investigation into foreign intelligence officers that you could never prosecute in the United States? And if the indicted Russians do show up in court, the Justice Department will have to reveal its intel, normally the last thing they'd want to do. This level of intel also suggests a high-up source inside Russian intelligence, but bringing this indictment will almost certainly cause the GRU to find the source and stop any further leaks. He makes his case in depth in his recent article, "The Establishment Strikes Back."

    Discussed on the show:

    "The Establishment Strikes Back" (unz.com)
"Game On – East vs. West, again" (Harper's)
"Mueller’s Politicized Indictment of Twelve Russian Intelligence Officers" (National Review)
"Candid camera: Dutch hacked Russians hacking DNC, including security cameras" (arstechnica.com)
“12/13/16 Craig Murray: DNC, Podesta emails leaked by Americans, not hacked by Russia” (Libertarian Institute)

Phil Giraldi is a former CIA Case Officer and Army Intelligence Officer who spent twenty years overseas in Europe and the Middle East working terrorism cases. He is the executive director for the Council for the National Interest and writes regularly for The American Conservative Magazine and Antiwar.com.
