After a whole year of documenting, there were a few extra things I wanted to say. The challenges I've faced. The hardships I've had. The countless lessons I've learnt - both in business & my personal life.

From behind the curtain, I poked out my head and spoke into the mic one last time for 2019.

It's time to get raw.

This week, I'm chatting with the delightful Jack Clark (@jackclark9 on Instagram). Jack is part owner of the Whole Picture Company - a picture-framers and printers based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. After working for his family's company for a number of years, Jack was given the reins by his dad towards the end of 2018 and has continued to deliver excellent service and value in the local area. This has been the driving force behind the company's success for the past 22 years. The company currently employs four full-time staff, one of whom is Jack's wonderful girlfriend, Amy (@loveamyelizabeth on Instagram), with another full-time picture framer set to join the team later this year. I had so much fun recording this chat in Jack and Amy's home. We chatted about so much, including what it is like running a successful company; the day to day challenges; Jack's top tips for anyone looking to get started in business and resources he's found extremely useful; and the realities of returning to daily life after four and a half months spent travelling around Asia.

On this week's show, I'm joined by the wonderful Sophie Grace Jackson (@sophiiegrace on Instagram).

Between the ages of 14 and 18, Sophie danced with North Yorkshire County Dance Company alongside teaching gymnastics classes, and post-school, took the plunge to run her own wedding planning business.

More recently, she's been documenting her fitness journey on social and has fostered a really supportive community. She's also one of 3 UK ambassadors for the Tone & Sculpt app founded by Krissy Cela (@krissycela on Instagram) which equips women with the tools and support they need to achieve their own fitness goals and change their lives for the better.

In between working full-time, being an active member of the Tone & Sculpt community and continuing her own fitness journey, Sophie recently got engaged to her partner James; is renovating their house together; AND recently welcomed their delightful kitten Maverick into their lives.

I really enjoyed our chat together and I'm sure you Cricketers are going to love Sophie's honesty and fitness insights. In our chat, we discuss how to get yourself to the gym even when you don't feel like going; the key business skills Sophie has learnt from her ventures to date; and so much more!

This week, I'm chatting to the delightful Jessica Wills Thornton (@jessicawillsthorton on Instagram and @jessicawills on Facebook).

To say Jess is a fantastic artist is a massive understatement! After years of practice and hard work, she recently had one of her oil-based collections displayed in Weetons: a renowned coffee shop and food store in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Currently, alongside juggling her job and fitness activities, she's working on her biggest commission to date for an arts dealer in Majorca and is also hoping to launch her own exhibition in Harrogate later this year. As you may be able to tell, I had so much fun speaking to Jess. Despite not seeing her in over four years, we were soon bouncing off each other, in large part because of Jess' wonderful positivity and love for life which truly shines through in our chat together. She is a breath of fresh air and I'm sure you Cricketers will come to love her as we chat about a wide range of topics from her tips in getting started with creative projects; how mindset is pivotal to success; and how her dog Penny one day left a very surprising package.

On today's show, I'm joined by the wonderful Katie Lloyd (@kate2814). Katie is a confectioner at Nestle and works in their innovation and renovation kitchen.

Yes, Katie has the job many of us dream about. She gets to work with chocolate for a living!

After completing her A-Levels, Katie took a gap year (yarh yarhhh) and went travelling around Australia & New Zealand for 6 months with her best friend. When she came back, she thought going to university was for her. She quickly realised, however, that her heart wasn't in it. Shortly after, she applied for an apprenticeship role at Nestle, and 4 years later, she still loves her job.

In our chat together, you'll soon discover Katie's knowledge of all things sweet is INCREDIBLE! We discuss how to get into the food industry; top tips for building strong working relationships with colleagues; some of the wonderful celebrities Katie has had the pleasure of meeting over the years; and how to make the perfect fruit pastille!

This week, I'm chatting to the delightful Joe West (@joeewestt on Instagram) - a model with Tyne Tees who's worked on shoots for world-famous brands like ASOS, Barbour and Manchester United. I'm lucky enough to have known Joe for YEARs and watching his journey from a distance has been beautiful to see.

I'm also joined by the wonderful Alisha Cowie (@_lisha_pie) - our Miss England for 2018/19 who's helped raise over £30,000 for charities including Papyrus UK. She's also openly spoken about the effects of social media on BBC Breakfast and The Victoria Derbyshire Show. Despite being so young, Joe and Alisha have been in the modelling industry for a number of years and met whilst on a casting session together. As well as being an absolute power couple, traveling around the world doing shoots in countries like China and Mauritius and Nepal, they're both incredibly humble and grounded, with Joe studying building surveying at Newcastle, and Alisha crime scene investigation and forensic science.

When I decided to bring guests onto The ScottBar Show for season two, Joe and Alisha were right at the top of my list. On the show, they share their amazing experiences and modelling insights, which I'm confident will inspire many of you cricketers to pursue your own projects, and we cover a wide range of topics, including ideas for successful fundraising, the less glitzy side of modelling and how to pull the perfect pose. On today's show, I'm joined by the amazing and uber-talented Josh Stockdale (@joshstockdalee on Instagram with two E's). Josh is the co-founder of the award-winning creative and production agency, Dream Beach Media.

As well as working with his lifetime best mate, Josh has travelled to 27 plus countries in three years, doing creative shoots for world famous brands including MTV, Panasonic, STA Travel and Vita Coco. Dream Beach has also partnered with countless tourism boards, such as Visit Australia and Visit Malta. Alongside this super successful agency and running it full-time, Josh and his business partner Alex have also been busying themselves with the launch of two amazingly successful Kickstarter campaigns in partnership with partners in Sweden, the most recent of which was Wolt: A sunglasses brand which creates beautiful travel glasses that look sexy, have foldable frames, and even contain a GPS tracking device in their case! It's crazy just how much Josh has crammed into this life already. Prior to Dream Beach, he was part of a really successful boy band called PM that did a UK tour with the Vamps and together they played in front of thousands of adoring fans and amazing venues like The O2. Somehow he's done all this and continues to do all this while still making time for his wonderful family and his girlfriend.

In our chat together, we covered a huge array of topics, including how to 10X your network; how to successfully run a business; how to hire amazing talent, some of whom may go on to do amazing things themselves (such as Lucie Donlan, Love Island); what it takes to REALLY run a successful company; and how to go viral on Tik Tok. Watching this guy grow over the last 22 years has been an absolute blast. I know you Cricketers are going to absolutely fall in love with him and the strong views and insights about music, business, and social media that he brings. He's a massive inspiration for me, and I know he's only going to go on to bigger and better things.
