In this episode, Jaclyn Mrozek discusses the topic of practice incentives for music students. She acknowledges that practice incentives are not a guarantee for creating lifelong practicers, but believes that they can still be beneficial and fun for both teachers and students.
Jaclyn shares various ideas for practice incentives, including using duets, ensembles, and repertoire that students love, as well as sticker charts, practice punch cards, and achievement badges.
She also introduces her own Honors Program, where students can earn different medals based on their practice and performance achievements throughout the year.
