WelcomeHello, lovelies. It’s Juliette here.
Say the word structure to most women and something in them tightens.
It sounds like admin.
It sounds planned.
It sounds like the opposite of spontaneity, desire, and being wanted.
Say the word dominatrix to the same woman, though, and she leans in.
But here’s the thing:
They have far more in common than you might think.
Before anything begins in a dungeon, there is an agreement.
What’s a yes?
What’s a no?
What are the edges?
How long will this last?
How do we communicate when something feels good, when something feels edgy, or when we want it to stop?
There is a container.
And when the body knows what is happening, how long it will last, and that a no will be heard the first time, something changes.
It can stop preparing for everything.
In this episode, I share one of the most important things I learned from my years as a dominatrix and how that same principle now shapes the way I teach touch, intimacy, and nervous-system safety.
Because your bedroom may not need more spontaneity.
It may need more edges.
I’ll also guide you through The Trace, one of the practices from my Ten Touch Rituals, so you can experience what happens when touch has a clear beginning, a clear ending, no agenda, and permission to stop.
Because structure isn’t the opposite of intimacy.
Sometimes structure is exactly what allows the body to soften enough to experience it.
The 10 Touch Rituals
If touch has started to feel loaded, unpredictable, or like every small reach might have to lead somewhere, begin with something simpler.
The 10 Touch Rituals use short, structured, non-sexual touch practices to help you rebuild connection without making every touch a doorway to sex.

📝 Episode Summary
What does being a dominatrix have to do with rebuilding intimacy in a long-term relationship?
More than you might expect.
In this solo episode, Juliette Karaman shares one of the most valuable lessons she learned from her experience as a dominatrix: bodies often open more easily when they know the edges of the experience.
Before a scene begins, there is structure. There are agreements, boundaries, clear yeses and nos, a beginning and an ending, and ways to communicate when something needs to slow down or stop.
Juliette explains that these elements aren’t simply rules surrounding the experience. They are what allow the nervous system to understand what is happening and what it can expect.
Yet in many relationships, touch has none of those edges.
A hand on your back, a kiss in the kitchen, or reaching for each other in bed could mean nothing, or it could become the beginning of sex.
When the body doesn’t know where touch is going, it may prepare for everything every single time.
And that preparation can feel like bracing.
Juliette also shares the personal journey that brought her into the worlds of touch, tantra, orgasmic meditation, and dominatrix work after years of overriding her own body’s signals until her health forced her to pay attention.
She then guides you through The Trace, a two-minute practice from her Ten Touch Rituals.
The practice begins not with technique, but with an agreement: Can I trace your face for two minutes?
Two minutes. No more.
No agenda. No expectation that it will lead anywhere else.
Through slow, light touch along the ear, jaw, and chin, Juliette invites you to notice sensation without needing to analyse it or turn it into a story.
Warmth. Coolness. Buzzing. A change in breath.
Or perhaps nothing at all.
Because numbness is information too.
The purpose isn’t to manufacture desire.
It is to give the body a clear container in which it can become curious again.
And from there, capacity for sensation, connection, pleasure, and deeper intimacy can begin to expand.
🔎 Key Takeaways
Structure isn’t the opposite of desire.
Clear agreements and boundaries can create the safety that allows the body to relax enough to explore sensation and pleasure.
The body relaxes when it knows the edges.
Knowing when something begins, when it ends, and that it can stop at any moment gives the nervous system useful information.
A no needs to be heard the first time.
The ability to stop without negotiation or turning it into a conversation about the relationship helps build trust around touch.
Touch without a container can create bracing.
When every reach could be nothing or could lead to sex, the body may prepare for everything every time.
Clear signals make exploration safer.
Juliette uses a stoplight system: green means continue, orange or yellow signals an edge or a need to slow down, and red means stop.
The container matters more than the accessories.
The sensory elements associated with dominatrix work may add sensation, but the deeper lesson is the structure surrounding the experience.
Non-sexual touch can create a doorway back to connection.
Touch doesn’t have to lead anywhere. Removing the expectation of sex can give the body room to experience touch differently.
Nothing is still information.
If you feel numbness or very little sensation during a practice, you don’t need to force a response. It tells you something about where your body is right now.
Curiosity works better than an agenda.
Instead of asking touch to create desire or fix intimacy, begin by noticing what your body actually experiences.
The Trace begins with an agreement, not a technique.
“Can I trace your face for two minutes?” creates a defined beginning, ending, and expectation before the first touch happens.
Small containers can expand your capacity for pleasure.
A few minutes of structured, intentional touch can gradually help the body become more comfortable with sensation and exploration.
Patterns around touch can change.
When the body learns that touch can have boundaries, choice, and a clear ending, it can begin to experience closeness in a new way.
