Pete and MJ get covid, a few medical procedures, and a whole lot of stress, so they decide to vent for a while and discuss how to move forward when you are jaded. Pete and MJ talk about artificial insemination this week, probably because Pete came from a sperm bank like in that Jim Belushi movie Frozen Assets... as a baby, not recently. But then Pete took a DNA test and learned they never dated a sister, even when it was probable, but they did find a few... We tell the story of meeting donor-conceived siblings and growing up as a sperm bank baby. So, someone definitely owns some gene patents on Pete's double helix. 

 Donating things so people can be parents goes both ways, so MJ tells her tale of donating eggs and we ponder the existence of those eggs babies, but we really dig into the process and the physical tole it takes to donate eggs for IVF Invitro-fertilization (Pete had to give MJ a shot once). Pay your taxes. Celebrate what makes everyone unique and don't keep secrets from kids about themselves. Make sure that you use scientific language for body parts when talking to kids or... no just do it because a 9-year-old should know what their vagina is called. A really loud airport fart was discussed at one point. Pete confuses Dan Akroyd and Jim Belushi, but they never made out with anyone but MJ at her childhood home. 

There might be a grammar tip in there somewhere, but we really get excited for the first Jaded Book Club, where we talk spoilery about Chapter one of Saga by Bryan K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples. After that, we decided to pick a fight with the entire podcast world by talking trash about true crime podcasts for profiting off of murder.
