the SEE the POET podcast episodes

  • the SEE the POET podcast | Episode 43 | Children obey your parents...
There’s so much going on in my life right now. Preparing for open heart surgery. Before I get there though, I feel like I need to get some stuff off my chest, literally and figuratively. These last few episodes are just that, me having a therapy session. I guess I’m on your couch. Letting this stuff go.

    Smile.

  • the SEE the POET podcast | Episode 41 | The Voice of A Messenger.
I just decided that I’m going to use my podcast as a diary for the next few months. As I prepare for, have, and recover from open heart surgery. I’m grateful for life. I’m grateful that we caught this. I’m grateful that I get to go through this and have every confidence and faith that I’m going to be okay. I’m looking forward to that. As I get there I still have work to do. I will continue to do that work, speaking life, writing life, and living life.

My spoken word poetry is available all over the place @seethepoet as well as my writings and more. Links in my bio for information and how to support.

    As always,
    Smile.

  • the SEE the POET podcast | Episode 40 | Anyone Can Succeed.
ANYONE can SUCCEED. “Success” is not some mythical creature or category of living that is reserved for only a select group. Success is the result of a perspective and process that everyone is very well capable of. Even you. Especially YOU!

  • the SEE the POET podcast | Episode 39 | About that dream. Part One.
In order for me to get to the part I say I want to be at, I have to do this part. This part is necessary.

I’m not fighting it anymore. I’m just going to do what I’m supposed to. Like I’ve been chosen to.

  • the SEE the POET podcast | Episode 38 | That's the man that used to fix things. Part One.
We all have secrets. Things that we hide for whatever the reasons that we deem adequate for not exposing or revealing ourselves.

But secrets rarely only affect who’s holding them.

  • the SEE the POET podcast | Episode 37 | Every time I was there, she was too.
Imagine someone doing something to you and your family that completely strips you of the ability to trust. Imagine wanting and trying so hard to try and gain that ability to trust back. Imagine finding one safe space, that you begin to give access to, that you feel comfortable in, and finally letting down your guard to maybe trust again.

Then finding out that the person that destroyed your ability to trust, well, they are in that same place with you.
