There’s so much going on in my life right now. Preparing for open heart surgery. Before I get there though, I feel like I need to get some stuff off my chest, literally and figuratively. These last few episodes are just that, me having a therapy session. I guess I’m on your couch. Letting this stuff go.

I just decided that I’m going to use my podcast as a diary for the next few months. As I prepare for, have, and recover from open heart surgery. I’m grateful for life. I’m grateful that we caught this. I’m grateful that I get to go through this and have every confidence and faith that I’m going to be okay. I’m looking forward to that. As I get there I still have work to do. I will continue to do that work, speaking life, writing life, and living life.

Imagine someone doing something to you and your family that completely strips you of the ability to trust. Imagine wanting and trying so hard to try and gain that ability to trust back. Imagine finding one safe space, that you begin to give access to, that you feel comfortable in, and finally letting down your guard to maybe trust again.

Then finding out that the person that destroyed your ability to trust, well, they are in that same place with you.
