I've been lucky to sit down and chat with some pretty awesome people on this show, and this episode wasn't any different.

Although it was different.

I had met Trevor a few times in the past on different occasions and I had known of Trevor, as most of Canada does, from his time on Top Chef Canada. However the Trevor I had on the show was far different from the man I had thought I knew before.

Trevor showed up to the podcast and delivered for me what was one of my favourite episodes to date. Sure we chatted about food, business, being a chef, managing teams, and the industry as a whole, but we also got a lot deeper. We touched on what it is like being a man in todays world and getting comfortable with aspects of manhood that perhaps weren't ever discussed before. 

From happiness to habits Trevor and I chatted about it all and likely could have recorded another 2hrs of content. I hope you guys enjoy this episdoe as much and Trevor and I did putting it together, and I look forward to keeping in touch with Trevor moving forward.

Deep and impactful conversation on today's podcast as I had an opportunity to sit down with 2/3 of the team behind YVR PREP. 

YVR PREP is lead by a passionate, knowledgeable and tight team that simply care. They have created a space where entreprenuers can bring to life their visions. An offering that is bigger than likely even Jason or Josh know.

Listening to Josh and Jason field questions I could tell these guys were on a different level and in this business for more than just a pay cheque, they are in it to facilitate positive change.

Jason brings a keen business eye to the team while Josh is undenicably skilled in the kitchen and super passionate about the food that is available to his family and his community at large.

The content in this podcast is educational, eye-opening, and fun. I am excited to call these guys friends now and I cannot wait to see the state of their brand over the next few months and years to come.

Shoutout to anyone who is pushing a positive change to our food system and facilitating opportunities for individuals to express themselves with their own unique foods. Shoutout to YVR PREP for doing awesome things, and for being awesome people.

Simple advice makes a great slogan.

Hoochy Booch Co-Founder Kristin Zerbin was an absolute blast to have on the show and we covered a bit of everything in this episode. Kristin shared her story and her "why" which was powerful and inspiring. Kristins desires to impact lives outside "bubbles in a bottle" and that truly spoke to me. I enjoyed my time with Kristin and loved connecting with her on so many things outside of food an kombucha.

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with two awesome, fun, and inspiring women. Jess and Asha from Kula Kitchen came on to the podcast to talk a bit of everythning food, business, hip hop and inspiring positive change in the world. Kula foods are two amazingly poweful and strong women that have decided to share their love of their food with the rest of the community. 

I was so impressed with the zest these two ladies had to share with me and the podcast, and their outlook on life in general was super refreshing. 

This podcast was a blast to put together and I think you all will enjoy the information that Jess and Asha shared.

Every episode I ask my guests two questions, and without fail I've gotten some extremely unique answers. Lauren did not disappoint with her answer to the "Half A Dozen HAVE TO's". Essentially allowing the guest to impart some wisdom and share some of the things they have experienced in their lives and feel like everyone else should try as well.

I had a great time getting to know her better and I now have more of an appreciation for who she is and what motivates her day in and day out.

Much like a lot of my guests, I felt I could have chatted to Lauren for hours about more than just food, however I truly enjoyed her food stories and her insight on the industry as it stands today.

We are back with our 2nd officail Restaurant Review and this one did not disappoint!

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Adam Jones, Trevor Bird and Chris Walker to try the entire lunch menu from this new hot spot in the city.

The hype around Pepinos is 100% valid this spot hit it out of the park.

From the moment we walked in we were blown away by the space, and I can confidently say there is nothing like this in Vancouver. The team behind this project, from its owners, designers, chefs, wine consultants, servers, bartenders, and heck even the dishwashers hit it out of the park. 

This review was a blast to record. The food was way above expectations, so do yourself a favour and if you're in this beautiful city get a seat in this restaurant, come hungry, and eat as much as you can.

***Note I went back for dinner and the menu was unreal!***

Pepinos Spaghetti House 5.8/6 stars

Sarah Morten embodies passion and intrique when it comes to all things food.

I enjoyed chatting with Sarah and uncovering her history with food, why she loves what she does and how she keeps the passion alive in what can be a very thankless space.

Sarah has a great story and a ton to share, I am sure you all will enjoy this episode and Sarah's entertaining views on this ever changing and challenging space.

What a pleasure and honour it was to chat with Gail!

I feel like this was one of those podcasts where Gail and I could have chatted for hours. We dug into much deeper things than just food, and the latest trends. I was blown away with Gails kind nature and her willingness to share her story. In a world we are consistently bombarded with other peoples hilights, Gail allowed for us to see into her world and get to know her that much better.

Gail is arguably one of the cities top authorities on all things food and having her on the show was a huge goal for me that I am proud to now tick off of my list.
