Rachna Patel is the founder of OH-KS, which offers tools, for children ages 4 and up, to learn about themselves and the world. Her interactive workbooks help to make learning come to life teaching kids how to better understand themselves (like their emotions) and teaches them healthy ways to cope. Her company offers proactive way to teaching kids how to show up as their best selves.
"To give you some background, the company was inspired by my 2 children. I wanted to teach them all the tools they could use to do or be whatever they desire. I had worked a lot on my personal development, because for as long as I can remember, I struggled with confidence and self-esteem. As a result of those struggles, I missed out on so many wonderful opportunities, and did not end up living the life that I wanted for me. As I learned the tools and skills, I made up my mind that whenever I had children, they would have these skills, tools, support, that I did not have. I looked for other resources aimed at children, but it was hard to find something that kept them engaged. So I started using the science I knew, the tools I learned, and made it as engaging as possible for them to learn these life skills. Before I knew it, I realized this was becoming a part of who they were. From there on my kids were always talking about how the magic inside them was helping them with challenges, feeling good, being kind, loving themselves, and so much more. This made me realize that if my children benefitted from this information so much, then so many other children could also use this program to help them out. It was at that point I came to understand that all these years of work, research, as well as trial and error with my children, needed to be shared with the world. Thus, the Power Up Your Magic program was created, and OH-KS was born.
My goal is to reach as many children as possible worldwide with this program. The end goal being that they will have the foundation and exposure to all the skills to feel good from within, so that they fall in love with themselves to do or be anything they desire."
