Dr. Jason Ormiston, pastor at Family Baptist, MN and BMM Director for Church Planting and Development joins us today for a practical discussion about the nature of great commission ministry. Is it a mandate? Is it merely a method for reaching the nations? You won't want to miss this episode!
One of our missionaries serving in a Creative Access Nation in North Africa joins us this week to share her experiences working with orphans, abandoned children, and at-risk women suffering the ravages of a war-torn nation. God's provision is abundantly on display this week as Karin reminds us of the spiritual warfare fought on our behalf and the spiritual victory won for us.

Having both grown up in missionary families and arrived in adulthood with confidence that God was not leading them into missionary service, though for very different reasons, God did something very special to draw this family into surrendered service. You won't want to miss their testimonies of God's goodness, providence, and clear direction as they surrendered for ministry with Campus Bible Fellowship.

Kamda Orphan Ministries is the work of the Berasngar family in Kumra, Chad. It is a local church based ministry to orphans that seeks to interrupt an all too familiar experience in Chad; the passing of a child into eternity without them ever knowing the love of a family or the love of God. Obed and Lacy both have lifelong connections with Baptist Mid-Missions. Obed is the fruit of BMM work in Chad and Lacy has a grandfather and a brother who both serve(d) with BMM. They have been working with Kamda Orphan Ministries for years, but recently understood the need and benefit of joining with an agency like BMM and were part of this year's new missionary class of 2023.

To some degree or another, every missionary experiences the challenge of gospel ministry in hard soil. The Whitmans have been endeavoring in a land often referred to colloquially as the "graveyard of missionaries" because there is so little fruit to show following faithful ministry. Italy is not just the cradle of the Renaissance, great food, and the Roman Empire; it is the home, quite literally, of Catholicism. Modern Italians are not simply hard to reach because of their catholic religiosity though. In fact, secularism and cultural pressures seem to be increasingly more difficult to contend with than their catholic upbringing. Join us this week for a discussion about ministry in Italy, its challenges and opportunities, with the Whitmans.

Ryan and Amparo P. join us today for a discussion about their recent experience with the Center for Inter-cultural Training (CIT). We know and believe that cross-cultural ministry longevity is accomplished in-part through language and cultural acquisition. As a result of this, we require all of our personnel headed to Asia, as well as a few other case-by-case situations, to attend a pre-field cultural acquisition and language learning training lasting from 4 to 6 weeks. Ryan and Amparo unpack the experience, its benefits, and their recommendation to any and all headed to the foreign field this week on the SEND938 Podcast.

Chaplain Steve Brown (US Navy Ret.), President of Associated Gospel Churches - a chaplaincy endorsing agency, and current chairman of the Elected Council of Baptist Mid-Missions, joins us this week for a conversation about the nature and needs of chaplaincy ministry in an increasingly hostile institutional environment. From hospitals to the halls of congress, chaplains hold the line in a special ministry arena that many in the local church, pastors included, cannot access. Don't miss this episode.
