Job is frustrated and angry at his condition and feels betrayed be all, even God.

Eliphaz continues his rebuke of Job, but then offers to intercede in prayer for him with God on his behalf. Yet he encourages Job to consider his actions to determine if he has done wrong.

Eliphaz tells Job God does not rebuke the innocent and is sure Job deserves his trouble. He then tells him of a visitation that came from a spirit in the night.

Job cursed the day he was born.

Job lives among the worms scraping away the puss from his boils with a potsherd while his wife travels from house to house. She encourages him to curse God and die. Then his three friends come and weep for him.

In a single day, in a single hour, Job loses everything except his wife and his home.

This chapter concludes the book of Esther honoring Mordecai (Mardochaeus) for being a great man and viceroy to Artaxerxes. And he interprets the dream he described in chapter one and gives credit to God for saving his people, Israel.

When the day arrived, the Jews slaughtered their enemies with impunity and rested the next day and established a perpetual celebration on the fourteenth and fifteenth of Adar

The king gave Esther Aman's property and his ring to write a declaration to all the provinces in defense of the Jews. This translation includes the actual letter.

Queen Esther asked King Artaxerxes to spare her life and that of her people from the decree of Aman, who she called an evil man. When the king went outside to think Aman begged the queen for his life and fell onto her bed just as the king entered. Then the chamberlain suggested the gallows Aman had build for Mardochaeus. And he was hanged on it.
