Israel went whoring after Moab's women who also seduced them into worshipping their gods. God sends a plague on his people that is stayed when Aaron's grandson: Phinees slays two people near the tabernacle of witness, one of which was the daughter of a Madianite prince seducing men into following Phogor.

After the third blessing, Balaam prophecies the futures of several nations including Israel, Moab and the Amorites. He prophecies of the Christ.

Balac brings Balaam to three locations attempting to get him to curse Israel. But each time God forces Balaam to bless his people, Israel.

Upon seeing the great multitude of Israel passing his borders, the king of Moab becomes fearful and calls for Balaam to put a curse on the people of Israel. Upon seeing the angel of the Lord, with his sword drawn, Balaam's ass refuses to follow Balaam's instructions. God opens the mouth of the donkey to speak.

The giants in the land begin engaging Israel. Initially Israel vows that if God gives them victory they will dedicate their land to God. And God gives them victory. Later Israel engages the Amorites and Og of Bashan

God commanded Moses and Aaron to speak to a rock to provide water to Israel, but they struck the rock. As punishment Moses was forbidden to enter the promised land and Aaron was returned to his people in Mount Or where he died.

In this chapter God explains what the tithe should be and why it goes to the priests.
