  • City Spies: Forbidden City
Hi listeners! This is a bonus episode, all about the third book in the City Spies series. City Spies: Forbidden City by James Ponti did not disappoint. It's as amazing as the first two books! Instead of following Brooklyn this time, though, City Spies: Forbidden City follows Paris, a member of the City Spies. He has to go undercover on a mission involving a nuclear physicist's son, and gets to do one of his favorite things: play chess! But the real mission for the City Spies is figuring out how to become a family. I love this book! Email me at [email protected]. Thanks for all the plays!

  • Bea is for Blended
Hello, and welcome back to The Series Review! Today I’m reviewing an awesome book called Bea is for Blended, by Lindsey Stoddard. This is a great book about family, friendship, soccer, bullying, and women’s rights. Bea, the main character, is a strong and confident young woman, who is struggling to fit in with her new family, consisting of her stepfather, Wendell, and Wendell’s sons, dogs, and cat. Bea is not happy about this, especially since her new neighbor, Aileyanna, is a soccer star with a great left foot, and her new brother, Bryce, is a bully follower. Bea and Aileyanna are only a few girls away from forming an all girls soccer team at their school! This fight is only just beginning… If YOU have a book/series for me to review on the show, email me at: [email protected]. Have an awesome week! The job brings her face to face with her crush and her mortal enemy, but Jamie also meets many friendly library regulars and workers. Maybe Jamie will be able to save the library and find herself!
