Nathan and Jojo bring their goalkeeping experiences to the podcast to break down how they train their goalkeepers and the approach they take to make them successful. Nathan helps to break down the different aspects of goalkeeping and what he finds most important working with goalkeepers. The group discusses the differences in working with older goalkeepers compared to young goalkeepers just starting out. The group talks about their experiences with college soccer and what their strength and conditioning looked like at their universities. Ryan helps to go into depth about the importance of getting in the weight room and how it can help the overall performance of an athlete. He goes on to talk about what coaches can be doing during their practices to help get the most out of their athletes during the season. The group discusses why it is important to include rest days during a season and how to go about determining which players are going to need more rest between games. Ryan helps to describe what healthy movement patterns look like and how they can be beneficial beyond the field of play. Ryan talks about the difference between bulking up and putting on good way to maintain the same level of agility that a player already has.
