She is passionate about helping athletes understand their potential and drive them towards their purpose as they make the transition out of athletics and become change leaders in the world.

Edgar’s life is anything but ordinary. When he was about 17, he got kicked out of a challenging catholic school and started his first company. He taught himself to weld furniture and shortly sold his first table for $400. At that moment, he realized that he can make money from being creative and his life took a whole new direction.
During this topic, Edgar can take your audience back on his journey from a very young age to becoming the successful serial entrepreneur he is today. He’ll talk about overcoming adversities, following his instinct, living life to the fullest, and eventually shaking up the whole industry. Your listeners will leave with not only actionable strategies but also tons of inspiration and confidence to keep building, even if all odds are stacked against them.

David Selinger was an early employee at Amazon, working directly under Jeff Bezos. He led the R&D arm of Amazon’s data-mining and personalization team. He co-founded Redfin (now a multi-billion dollar company) and founded RichRelevance, a company that offers personalized shopping experiences for large retail brands, including Macy’s, Barneys New York, Office Depot, and others.
He is now inventing the next BIG thing in home security – Deep Sentinel, an AI-based home protection. The company’s intelligent crime prevention transforms home security from false alarms and ineffective after-the-fact crime alerts to real-time crime prediction and prevention. With Deep Sentinel, Americans can gain a reliable, cost-effective way to protect their homes and stop a burglary, mail theft, or driveway break-in before it happens – and feel dramatically safer at home, at work, and on vacation.

The path of least resistance could be beneficial in some environments, but when it comes to personal development I believe this way of thinking can set you back. If you're trying to become the best version of yourself, trust me, the road will get bumpy. Self-doubt, looking at the skeletons in your closet, guilt, relationships, bad decision, mental roadblocks are all things that we need to examine and find solutions for ourselves. This path is long, bumpy, and full of resistance.
The question is, do you have the character to take this path. Just a heads up..it's hard and could be lonely.

My guest this week is Jeff Eberhart. Jeff is the vice president of the northwest region of athletes to careers. He is very passionate about helping athletes transition to their careers after sport. After working and talking with student-athletes for 18 years at the University of Oregon and for the last three years with the Oregon Athlete Foundation, the biggest hurdle they face is the transition from being a student-athlete to a "former" athlete. He is dedicated to helping these athletes make that transition, listening to their goals, and helping them connect with employers who want to hire them because they have the skills business owners want in their employees.
