This week on the Shark Effect I had the pleasure to catch up with one of my mentors who taught me the intricate facets of being a professional football player. His name is Richard Harvey. Richard was drafted in the 11th round of the 1989 NFL draft. But despite the odds, Richard played Linebacker for 12 years (Bills, Patriots, Broncos, Saints, Raiders, and Chargers). Have a listen as Richard and I pull back the curtain of the nature of the NFL and the coaches that have had an incredible impact both on and off the gridiron.

Doing dumb shit in your past can show up when you least expect it, especially when directed at someone or a group of people. Most of the time, the things we do that we later regret or do with little thought of future ramifications...We're simply unintentional! The key is reconciling with those whom we have hurt.
How do you go about reconciling?
Here are three things I do to reconcile AlexMolden1.0 (I'm AlexMolden4.8 right now).

Growth is tough, it's scary, but the saddest thing is when you come to the realization that you have not lived up to your own expectations of being the best version of yourself. I believe we all will come face-to-face with that person and no matter what hand you were dealt in life you will have to answer the question:
Did you let the hand you were dealt work for you OR against you?
