More like...The Bast Without...excitement!
Welcome to The Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends are watching every werewolf movie ever, even the ones that make us want to fall asleep. This week, we watched the 2024 release The Beast Within starring Kit Harrington and Caoilinn Springall. This is a slowburn (emphasis on slow, emphasis on burn!) about a bad dad who might be a werewolf? Maybe? We watched to find out!
Other topics of discussion include: The Wicked movie, The People's Joker, and the fun of a good cowboy romance story. All that and more on The Silver Scream podcast!
There is an argument ahead for this being the worst movie we've ever seen!
Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends, and sometimes three friends, are willing to sit through absolute awfulness in our quest to watch every werewolf movie. Sometimes we question the reasons why we do this! Full steam ahead on this week's movie "Werewolf in a Women's Prison," (2006) is one of those movies that make you wish you were cleaning out your cat's litter box instead of watching it. Don't worry though, we have plenty of good things to talk about this episode with our friend Mando!
Mando is one of the Dads of Dads From The Crypt:An award-winning podcast where 3 dads review horror anthology TV shows and movies. You can find their episode catalog of fun all the podcasting platforms or check out their website: https://dadsfromthecrypt.com/
Thank you for joining us Mando! We forgive you for picking this movie out!
Other topics of conversation include: video games that are better than this movie, comic books that are better than this movie, books that are better than this movie, and other movies that are better than this movie.

Disclaimer: Normally, I'd give a hoot and talk about spoilers and what not, but literally do not watch this movie. I really don't care about spoiling it or any of that, it's that bad!
Our main theme music was created by John Shelton. The introduction was edited together by Courtney featuring clips from: The Wolf Man (1941), An American Werewolf in London (1981), What We Do in the Shadows (2014), Werewolf of London (1935), The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), and Ginger Snaps (2000).

Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends try to find some good werewolf movies, and sometimes really boring and bad werewolf movies. This week we were disappointed by one of the many unnecessary films that start with "The Amityville". Don't expect any ghost demon pigs or haunted houses, in fact, don't expect much of anything interesting at all!
We discuss the Amityville legacy of sequels and why they all really suck. Other topics of discussion include: Oddity (2024), VHS:BEYOND (2024), Alyssa saw Salem's Lots, and Courtney is hooked on The Substance!
Also! We have decided to approach the latest season of Dragula differently. Instead of weekly discussions on the episode, we will be saving all of our thoughts into one long episode for the end of the season! Look forward to that bonus episode in the future! You should def check out Dragula season 6 if you haven't already, it's great!

Maybe don't write fanfiction about World War 2…
Welcome to The Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends suffer through all the werewolf movies so you don't have to. Today's film is Werewolves of the Third Reich from 2017, directed by the late Andrew Jones (rest in peace). This film takes much inspiration from much better films and we sure talk about it.
Other topics of conversation this episode include: M. Night Shyamalan's Trap, 4 books Alyssa read, 4 documentaries Courtney watched, and the upcoming season 6 of Dragula!

Unfortunately, Courtney's audio quality is not very good this episode.
Gee wow, this movie really doesn't like the women within it.
Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends try to find some good werewolf movies and sometimes they're really old too. We are here to discuss the first ever werewolf movie filmed in color, The Curse of the Werewolf (1961) from Hammer Film Productions. Directed by the legendary Terence Fisher, this film follows a flow of characters entering and leaving the film. The storytelling is unique, the costuming is enchanting, and the rest of it is…well…listen and find out!

It's literally Werewolf-Girl, Interrupted
Fair warning, one of us was drinking Haterade before recording…
Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends try to find some good werewolf movies. We are once again getting ginger SNAPPED with the 2004 sequel to John Fawcett's spectacular film Ginger Snaps. Brigitte Fitzgerald is back and on the run immediately following the events of the first film. The talented Emily Perkins returns as Brigitte, but will this sequel deliver the same sauce??? Listen to find out more!
Other topics of discussion include: A brief reaction to the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9 **spoiler alerts ahead** (skip to 9:15 to avoid discussion), all aboard the Glen Powell train!, Alyssa & Courtney discuss the film LongLegs (2024) and the divisive reactions to it (spoilers for LongLegs starting at 20 min until 30:13), interesting books read, and more!

Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends try to find some good werewolf movies. This week we watched a sapphic Brazilian werewolf fairytale called 'Good Manners' or 'As Boas Maneiras' in Portuguese. This film is a uniquely romantic tale with many shocking moments!
Other topics of discussion include: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9 episodes 8 & 9, books read & movies watched, and more!

Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends try to find some good werewolf movies. Sometimes we watch a movie that made Courtney really really made in high school…it's Van Helsing time! This film is a rickety-shack of an attempted franchise for Universal and we watched it. Take off your nostalgia glasses for this one! It's time to marvel at what could have been and what ended up being.
Other topics of discussion include: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9, Courtney explains why the Teletubbies are LGBTQ icons, book talk, movie talk, the attempted Dark Movie universe, a cameo from Hank the dog, and MORE!

Did Marvel actually make something good again?!
Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends try to find some good werewolf movies. Sometimes the movie is a made-for-TV missed opportunity by Disney. Werewolf By Night is a Halloween special released to Disney+ for Marvel and it actually rocks. We discuss how this film fits in comparison to the rest of the MCU ouroboros and lament about how Disney dropped the ball when they released it (like seriously??? why did they not put this on television???)
It's time for a monster hunt!
Other topics of discussion include: What we really think about Marvel movies (and what we think Disney should do more of), Alyssa is still on the planet of the apes, Courtney watched Stopmotion, and more!

We love a gimmick!
Welcome to the Silver Scream, a podcast where two friends try to find some good werewolf movies. This week we watched a unique whodunnit from the 1970s. The Beast Must Die is a British mystery with decorum and a gimmick. Be sure to watch before listening and enjoy the game that is this movie!
Other topics of discussion include: the return of Drag Race corner, Alyssa journeys through the rise/dawn/war/etc for the Planet of the Apes, Courtney revisits The Iron Claw, and more!
