My guest this week is Kyle Camarillo.

Kyle is the director and editor of New Balance Numeric’s latest release “Intervals” starring Jamie Foy, Brandon Westgate and Tiago Lemos.

Myself, Dan Magee and Greg Conroy talk to Kyle about starting his career as a film maker, working on projects for Tilt Mode and Enjoi, all aspects of directing, filming  and editing Intervals, the importance of premiers and skateboardings need for more full length features. 

It was great for me Dan and Greg to talk to Kyle about his journey through the three year process of making Intervals.

My guest week is Mathew “Wig” Worland 

Wig is one of the most prolific and influential British skate photographers of the last 35 years. Starting his career in a pre digital commercial area of photography , he brought a depth and breadth of knowledge to early uk skate coverage in magazine titles R.A.D, Skate Action and Skateboard!

I talk to Wig about, growing up near the Milton Keynes skate scene, working as a commercial photographers assistant, his time at Transworld skateboarding in the 90’s, starting Sidewalk magazine out of the ashes of R.A.D, his move away from skateboard photography and back again , plus his part in the new R.A.D book out

In my time in skateboarding I shot some of my favourite photo’s with Wig and  I was lucky enough to travel with him extensively around the U.K in his Volkswagen Jetta.

It was great to catch up with him and have another great conversation , I hope you enjoy it too.

Joel Curtis and I’m a Musician and skateboarder.

My guest this week is Rob Mathieson 

Rob is an illustrator ,model maker and animator from  East Molesey In Surrey.

I talk to Rob about growing up skatebaordiong in  London ,working on projects with some of the biggest companies      in skateboarding, keeping creatively inspired and refining the art of K9 follow filming.

In May 2019 Rob’s close friend Ben Reamers died by suicide.

Along with Lucy Reamers, Bens sister  Rob and other like minded friends Founded the Ben Reamers foundation. 

The foundation has helped the skateboard industry to focus more on the mental health of skateboarders and have provided suicide prevention training for skaters from all over the world.

Rob has worked on films with skaters , Brian Anderson, Aaron Herrington, Nick Jensen , Fred Gall and many more to hi light the importance of positive mental heath support in the world wide skate community.
