We’ve all heard of the concept of unconditional love but is it really possible for us mere mortals? What does it mean to practice truly unconditional love? Today we’re going to talk about nonattachment and how learning to release your grip on outcomes can help you find more compassion and love for yourself and others.
The truth is we say we can practice it but so often when someone breaks our expectations, we retaliate by withholding love (or reacting with anger, resentment, distance, etc.). The common narrative is “if you love you me, you’ll do xxx” but this is all rooted in conditions.
True unconditional love starts with finding unconditional love for yourself.
