Quick Chat #12 from the Slow Coach Project.

Last night we had the first SCP group coaching call. It was magical. I loved hearing everyone’s stories and leaning into where they’re at and how they’re feeling. Coaching is such a profound experience and I’m so grateful to everyone who came along and shared so generously.

Working on some lesson recordings, today (video), as well as nutting out the launch schedule and email sequence for this new e-course, Rewriting Fiction. When it comes to launching an e-course, I just choose a ‘cart open’ date and work backwards from there, figuring out which sales emails to send and when (aka the email sequence). This used to be something of a head wreck for me but it’s kind of second nature these days. Which just goes to show that experience (and repetition) really is our best teacher!

My new e-course is coming together nicely. Here’s how I think I’ll structure it. If you’re creating an e-course this might help you get ideas and boost your confidence.

Another ‘quick chat’ from the Slow Coach Project!

Come with me as I create my latest e-course. Here’s how I go about it (in real time), from the initial mock-up, to the creation of slides, recording the tutorials, and the final upload to my preferred course platform (Kajabi).

Please note, I’ve created about a dozen courses by now, so for me it’s second nature. Don’t pressure yourself if you can’t hold this task as lightly as I do. It’s only experience that’s given me so much ease and confidence around what really is a very tricky endeavour!

Sometimes it's hard to admit you have a gift. Other times, your gift is like a distant bell. You sorta, kinda know you've got something unique or special to offer but...

The Slow Coach Project began as an experiment and has paid off. Through it I've learned heaps about my clients and their needs. But I've also learned a lot about myself and what I have to offer. This also happened when I started experimenting with girlandduck. People needed way more from me than I had anticipated. They needed me to be a leader and a guide; to embrace a role I had always sidestepped.

The thing is, when we allow ourselves time to experiment, we uncover all sorts of delightful surprises and life-changing challenges. We might even uncover gifts we didn't know we had.

What is the future of the Slow Coach Project? I'm not sure, but I know it's unfurling in a way I didn't expect.

In this rambling episode, I share my thought processes around building this new business.

The podcast is evolving. It's now more raw, more intimate, and it's all happening in real time.

Please don't get caught in procrasti-branding!

When we're working on our branding we can fool ourselves into thinking we're 'doing the work'. But many precious hours and lots of precious dollars can be wasted on branding at the start of a business.

In this episode, I talk about the need to get cracking, get your message out there, start building your audience, without worrying too much about branding.

Beautiful branding is a delicious and worthy goal. Good branding is an essential. But not right out of the gate. It's not what's need first.

What is needed first, what your clients need first, is YOU! You in all your wonky, raw, real glory.
