Do you have a difficult time finding and keeping high quality volunteers? Is the same 20% of your church doing 80% of the work?  It doesn’t have to be this way.  Most people want to be a part of a growing organization, they want to be a part of a winning team and they want to make a difference but too often we are so short on volunteers that we rush to onboard them and get on to the next one’s and this is a HUGE mistake that is a root cause of not raising up and retaining high quality volunteers.  Today we are going to give a simple 4 Step process to onboard and train volunteers that has proven to be successful.

Volunteers are the engine of every church. Without this faithful and invaluable workforce, the local church would have no horsepower and would sit lifeless and still at the starting line. In order for the Church to have massive torque and top-end speed as we race against time, we have to effectively manage the wonderful people that serve in our local churches to their maximum potential and according to the mission Jesus gave us. This involves clear communication and coordination of responsibilities. Today we want to share with you the process of onboarding volunteers, why having a job description for each volunteer is absolutely non-negotiable, and how to create a job description that serves you well. So just about every church has a vision statement or (what we call a strategy statement) somewhere on a wall. But why? Is it merely for decoration or does it really mean something? The rise and fall of your success as a church will come down to understanding and executing effectively the vision God has given the pastors and leaders of said church. The hardest person you will ever lead is the one looking back at you in the mirror every morning. if you can lead that person, you can lead just about anyone. Discipline is difficult to dominate. The better you become at being the example, the more value and credibility you bring to the table and the more likely it will be for others to want to follow you because you are the real deal.
