The Smart Real Estate Coach family team empowers individuals and families to create the life of their dreams. We encourage aspiring investors and entrepreneurs to take the first step towards creating REAL income with real estate.
After many years of coaching and constantly doing deals himself independently, Chris Prefontaine founded Smart Real Estate Coach in 2014, bringing in his son Nick, daughter Kayla, and son-in-law Zachary as the company began to grow. The family team coaches investors on how to properly scale and automate their businesses throughout North America — all without using their own cash, credit, or taking out bank loans to buy property. Our team buys and sells homes in our own market every month. We then mentor, coach, and consult students and Associates all around North America to do the exact same thing. We stay current because we're in the trenches ourselves.
In this Family Cast episode of the podcast, we're joined by Smart Real Estate Coach business manager Colleen Murphy for a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to work with the family team.

Chris has been in real estate for over 25 years. His experience includes the construction of over 100 single-family and duplex homes (mostly in the 1990's and selectively to date), has owned a Realty Executives Franchise (Massachusetts 1994-2000) as broker/owner which maintained high per-agent standards and eventually sold to Coldwell Banker in 2000. The 2000's included coaching ½ million and higher REALTORs® in order to scale & automate their business throughout the US and Canada. He also participated (and still does selectively) in doing condo conversions (multi-family homes to condos) and "raise the roof" projects (converting single-family ranches to colonials in growth neighborhoods).
Chris has been a big advocate of constant education and participates regularly in high-end mastermind groups, as well as consults with private mentors. He runs his own buying and selling businesses with his family team, which buys 2-5 properties monthly, so they're in the trenches every single week. They also help clients do the same thing around the country.
Chris and his family team have done over 80 million in real estate transactions. They mentor, coach, consult, and actually partner with students around the country (by application only) to do exactly what they do.

When Scott Bossman stumbled into the world of land investing, he had no experience in real estate or business. He was working 40-50 hours a week as a physical therapist, but looking for a way to spend more time with his family. In his search for passive income options, he ran across one of Mark Podolsky's podcasts and was hooked on the idea of raw land flipping as the ideal passive income model, since it avoids "the 3 T's" of traditional real estate investing (tenants, toilets, and termites). Under Mark's guidance at TheLandGeek.com, Scott learned how to seek out viable prospects for raw land deals, make the right offers, close deals (often for pennies on the dollar), then sell those same parcels to interested buyers.
Scott and his wife, Erin, have been investing in raw land for 4 years. Scott was able to replace his income as a Physical Therapist in just 2 years, and he quit his job in 3 years. He now works as a PT just 1-2 afternoons a week, and he enjoys the luxury of working at home in his land business. Scott and Erin's business has enabled them to spend more time with their 4 sons and to experience a degree of financial security that they would never have dreamed possible.
Scott is now a member of the Land Geek team, and he is passionate about sharing what he's learned to inspire others to pursue their dreams of financial freedom through raw land investing.
