When a tree sheds its leaves for the winter, it isn't dying.  It is preparing for what's ahead.  It is adapting for situations outside of its control.

What an incredible lesson!  We can't go, go, go all the time.  Sometimes we need to slow down and, like the tree in winter, rest, so that when we are ready, we can bloom again.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day, yet often we don't use them the way we would like.  Take some time to design your ideal day and see how you can set yourself up for success.

Many of us are in the habit of looking ahead at our calendar.  But how many of us look back and edit our calendar to accurately reflect how we spent our time?

We all have so many things we want to get done, things we want to accomplish.  Going back to track how you spent your time can be a valuable practice, and give you great insight in how to adjust your schedule moving forward, making room for the things that really matter.

Years ago, I discovered the work of Marla Cilley, better known as FlyLady.  One of her core principles is getting "dressed to shoes" everyday.  I was skeptical at first, not wanting to wear shoes around the house, but I am a complete convert.

Whether you get a new pair of sneakers or clean up an old pair, lacing up some comfortable shoes to wear while working at home can dramatically boost your productivity.  Building on Episode 15 - Put Some Pants On, episode 22 of The Socially Distant Survival Guide encourages you to take it one step further: dressed to shoes.
