Let's open this often overlooked conversation shall we?
In this week's episode I bring on my partner Keegan and have him share more about his experience realizing he is asexual, how that's worked in our relationship, the challenges we've faced, and why polyamory has helped our unorthodox relationship to thrive.
Some talking points we explore:
Asexuality is a spectrum. People who are asexual may experience different levels of sexual attraction, or no attraction at all.
The split attraction model explains the difference between romantic and sexual attraction.
Allosexual is the opposite of asexual. It means someone experiences sexual attraction.
Desire and arousal are not the same thing. A person can be asexual and still experience arousal.
Polyamory is a type of relationship structure where people have multiple romantic partners with everyone's consent.

You know what has helped me through the rocky road that was Keegan coming out as asexual? Breathwork. Seriously, when things turn out differently than expected we need a good deal of emotional resilience to not spiral out into our feelings about it forever (often guilty as charged lol). That's why I LOVE breathwork to help me though those moments in relationship & life... and now I created a class for you to join me in experiencing this powerful tool.
