  • Rockets Playoffs Series Preview

The Houston Rockets are set to play in their first playoff series in five years against a familiar foe: The Golden State Warriors. Most pundits are choosing the lower seeded Warriors as the favorites; so why is Paul so excited? Is he just stoked on playoff basketball again or is there room for positivity? We also look back at the Astros/Cardinals series in St. Louis, and look ahead to the series against the red-hot Padres in Daikin Park.

  • Heartbreak In Houston

Incomprehensible indeed. The University of Houston Cougars just barely miss out on winning it all. The Astros find some more of the struggles that have been plaguing them lately. And the Rockets go from media darlings to heels because they were too mean to Steph Curry. We check in with your emotions and talk about the games and try to give you some hope, perspective and a little humor to get you through your day, drive, workout or just lounging around the house trying not to eat, drink or cope your way to happiness. It was such an incredible season and was such a fun ride. It just ended in the most non-fun way possible. I’m proud of the Coogs and ready to talk about them, ready for next March…and maybe even ready to love again. It’s a new day, H-Town, let’s go.

  • COOGS BEAT DUKE. 70-67. Never give up!

Let’s go, Houston! The Coogs stunned everybody by never giving up and playing their game and fighting back to a win against Duke last night. It was an incredible game and was such a once-in-a-lifetime-experience Carla and I had to wake up early to podcast. We talk all about the game (and still have Roberts locking up Flagg on repeat in our heads). We also talk Rockets to drum up even more Houston basketball excitement. But sadly, we do have to talk about the Astros 4th inning breakdown and tell you why you’re sounding like a fair weather if you’re freaking out. (It’s April, btw.) A safe place of positive Houston fans, come through to celebrate or to be told to stop hand-wringing. (We even stop by Dynamo Corner as they win their first game against LAFC.)
