The Astros are continuing to find ways to win, but they are also continuing to rack up injuries. In this chapter, JP3 goes down with a rib fracture from a HBP. We talk about the Astros last two series against the Phillies and Cubs and check in before they Stros play the Rockies and Dodgers on the road. Before wrapping up we talk about the hottest thing in H-Town: Rockets Rumors. What’s on the rumor stove today? Let’s talk some DFS and Cam Whitmore.
Vamos vamos Houston
The podcast took an unexpected break so we check in from Los Angeles and talk about the current events in my backyard that everybody seems to be talking about recently. We then get off the soapbox to talk about the biggest news story (in the sports world): Kevin Durant was traded to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and picks! Sending besos and abrazos to all communities that are being torn apart right now.

Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros brought the offense in this two game series and beat the 10-Run-Jinx allegations. Diesel shoved and LMJ got a dozen strikeouts. But sadly, we have to also discuss injuries. Ronel Blanco is set to have season ending surgery next week and while we saw it coming, it still stings. Also, Christian Walker has been on a tear, but he was hit by a pitch and was lifted from the game. What does this mean for the heart of our lineup and starting rotation? We’ll get into that and more and this episode!
Vamos vamos Houston
Your Houston Astros won their Memorial Day Weekend series against the Mariners. You know, when the Astros go to Seattle it‘s their World Series; but when they come to Houston it’s just Star Wars weekend. How are the Astros faring recently and who is pitching this upcoming series and more on this episode of the pod. (We’re thinking Diesel is gonna pitch angry today…) If you know when Yordan will be back please let us know. We miss you, Yordan.
Vamos vamos Astros
I can’t answer that question, to be clear. I don’t think baseball can, or they’d try to save the influx of arms that are on the IL. While this is a league-wide problem, let’s look at the problem that it has created for the Houston Astros going forward. We also rant about the offense having problems as well and the big injury that is hurting it this season. Who do you think will be in the rotation? Will the Astros take the series against Seattle?
Vamos vamos Astros!
Put on your tinfoil hats, because we’re gonna talk about the NBA draft lottery. In this episode Paul talks conspiracy (with a hint of checking in with reality). We also discuss the potential big names that the Rockets are tied to in the rumor mill right now. We also check out the Houston Texans 2025 schedule and look at some matchups that we’re excited for. And we end the podcast looking ahead to the Astros taking on the North Oklahoma team for a four game series starting today. We look at the pitching matchups and project a big need for the team to be successful this upcoming week. Let us know what trade you want for the Rockets this offseason.
Vamos vamos Houston
And we’re back! On this episode of the pod: we talk about being busy and taking a week off, we discuss the Rockets after taking some time to feel emotions, we look at the Astros pitching rotation and check in with where the Astros are this season. And Paul and Jesse talk about the foolishness of clowns on the internet, making adjustments and sketch comedy. A special treat since there was a lack of pods lately. Remember: sports are supposed to be the fun break from all your troubles…not a reason to be a terrible person. Weak men hide behind anonymous internet comments. We try to be good fans and good people here.

The Houston Rockets came out strong against the Golden State Warriors and won game 5 in decisive fashion. We talk about the game and what to look for in the upcoming game 6 if Rockets fans want to see a game 7. We also check in with the Houston Astros as they won a series against the formidable Motor City Kitties. Have the Astros found some offensive consistency with a lineup shake-up? Are you in love with Jose Altuve like me? All that and more on the pod today.
Vamos vamos Houston
There’s playoff basketball and a chance for redemption tonight, H-Town! Let’s talk Rockets/Warriors and what happened last game and what we pray happen tonight. We then check in with the Houston Texans and their draft haul. Are you ready for some immediate impact rookies? And finally we check in with the Astros are they are trying to find consistent offense and brace themselves for a familiar arm potentially returning to the rotation. What do you think Houston? How bullish are you on your teams right now?
Vamos vamos Houston
Your Houston Rockets frustrated the Warriors in game 2 and showed that they are capable of scoring buckets in bunches to dominate the Warriors in a defensive showcase. Jalen Green and AlP go off and give the Houston crowd something to cheer for. Draymond is Draymond and Warriors fans are Warriors fans, but the Rockets stepped up their game to show that this is the series that I thought it could be. We also check in with your Houston Astros to talk about the two series I missed when I went out of town. (Don’t fret, my pet; I caught up on all my viewing to discuss with y’all.) The Astros got a series win against one of the hottest teams in baseball in the San Diego Padres and then swept the Canadian Astros. We talk about the stellar pitching and the bats that are waking up to provide this team with the slugging it so desperately needed. Packed show today, y’all. Let’s get to it!
