  • Astros Lose Slugfest to the California Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

It’s a good thing this game was blacked-out where I live because I think I would have blacked-out if I had to watch the 5th inning live. The Astros are trying to get on a roll and stumbled out of the gate in the first game against the Angels at home. We recap the game, talk about Kyle Tucker and his excellent start to the season, and look at roster moves and potential roster moves. The Astros need to bounce back quick. • Astros Win Another Series/Gain Ground In AL West

The Astros win another series to gain ground in a mediocre AL West so far this season. • Astros Sweep A’s/Continue To Find Ways To Win

Bust out those brooms, y’all, we’re going streaking! The Astros are shaking the dust off and returning to their winning ways. We look back at the 8-1 win in Houston yesterday and look forward to the series against the Brewers starting today. We also talk a bit about Breggy, Hunter Brown and upcoming pitching match-ups. While it is a blast to work on this silly diversion from all of our lives, I want to make sure everyone is safe out there. Shout out to the good people of Houston that are helping their neighbors and taking care of each other. I hope all y’all are safe and dry and don’t hesitate to reach out if there is any way I can connect anyone with resources they need. Love you, H-Town.

  • Astros Win Game But Are In Trouble Because of Rosin and Sweat

Ball don’t lie. The Astros get into a sticky situation but walk it off anyway. Ronel Blanco’s glove was checked in the top of the 4th inning and the umps decided that in the middle of his breakout season and in the middle of this game—with all the other hand and glove checks this game and season—this was the moment Blanco decided to get the competitive edge and bring a foreign substance on the field. Blanco and the Astros say that it was a mixture of sweat and rosin. Apparently, sweat and rosin-the one sticky substance the league literally gives you—on your non-pitching hand gives you a competitive advantage when pitching. While we wait for the lab to give us results and await news of suspension, Astros fans everywhere are standing behind Blanco. Let’s beat the allegations and FREE BLANCO! Besides all the drama surrounding the game, this was a dramatic game. So let’s talk baseball and not just about umpires.

Also, OF Corey Julks has been traded to the Chicago White Sox for RHP Luis Rodriguez. We’ll miss you Julks. Best of luck!
