The Houston Astros put up a good all-around game to power past the A’s 9-3. Is this the turn around we have been looking for from Bregman? Looking at some of the blog stories from around the way and the how the Astros are playing. What do we have to look forward to? This podcaster is optimistic. Also, history is made with Julia Morales and Jenny Cavnar in the booth for the Astros and A’s respectively! Let’s Go! Vamos vamos Astros
The Astros win a series in Detroit and are looking to build on their successes. Also, what’s up with this A.I. written S.I. article? It’s basura on all sorts of levels. What does the home-stand look like and will the Astros get another day off this month? That and so much more on this episode of The Space Cadet Sports Podcast.
In this episode of the pod: Space Cadet Paul Salazar Jr talks Stros. After getting beat up in the first two games of the series the Astros take a close one. A good outing by Blanco, the legend of Jon Homerton growing and hoping to build off of decent performances. That, Carla the dog, musical guest: An L.A. Helicopter and more on this episode!
The Astros can’t seem to find a way to win and I guess we have to talk about it on this episode of the Space Cadet Sports Podcast. Usually off-days are for goof-around but we need to recap the Seattle series and look ahead to hopefully sunnier days in NY. Space Cadet, Paul Salazar also talks to Houston getting a NHL or WNBA team. Will the Astros start to solidify and fire on all cylinders? Is this what it’s like to be a baseball fan for other teams in the league?? Only time will tell. Check it out on this episode. And vamos vamos Astros.
While the Astros dug a hole for themselves, sometimes it seems like they play their best with their backs to the wall and with something to prove. In a tough and competitive series with the Guardians, the Astros have come out on top. But another challenge in the young tough arms from the Mariners is knocking on the door. The Astros hold a slight edge against the team from Arlington but this is the first time they are playing the currently leading Mariners. How did the Astros play and what do the upcoming games look like? Space Cadet, Paul Salazar Jr is happy to talk Astros baseball!
Vamos vamos Astros
Space Cadet After Dark is happy to report back with a walk off win for this game recap! We talk about tonight’s game and Jose Abreu’s assignment in the minor leagues. While there is plenty of ground to gain, it’s good to see momentum trending upward. Keep your head up! And
Vamos vamos Astros
Astros prospect Joey Loperfido has blasted his way through the minors and onto the Astros 40-man roster. Let’s look at the man, the myth, the legend, the paella of Joey Cooks. And while Loperfido has been brought up, there have been no other roster moves announced at the time of this podcast release. Why was the move made now and who is most likely to be sent down and taken off the 40-man? Space Cadet, Paul Salazar Jr, is happy to speculate. We also take a look ahead to the series against the surging Cleveland Guardians. And finally we end the Paul-Brod-Pod-Ball-Blog-Off-Pod with a quick look at the college players the Houston Texans drafted. Time to get excited about this talent and look forward to the Houston teams moving forward. Let’s turn the page and unbutton one of your Abreu buttons!

Vamos vamos Astros
Space Cadet, Paul Salazar Jr, is here for some news and humor on this day off for die-hard Astros fans. (Watch the video version of this pod on the Substack!) It’s been a rough April, but what moves were made and what do we have to look forward to this series? While there is a lot to discuss, let’s still remember who the Astros are and have been. It’s still early in the season for us spoiled Astros fans! Let’s look forward to what this team can do and build a non-toxic home for the die-hands! Share with your H-Town homies and let us know who you would have called up or send down. Enjoy the day off, go get some tacos and as always:
Vamos vamos Astros
The Astros have dug themselves a hole and they are going to have to do some serious work to get back to the top of the division, but last we checked here it’s still late April. While the Astros have some issues to fix they are also frustratingly a decent team statistically and obviously were built to go to the playoffs…so what gives?! Good grief, Charlie Browns, what are we gonna do? In this episode Paul updates the official Astros Fan Panic Meter, talks about realistic first base options as the team needs to find wins and can’t cover ANY holes in the lineup as they somehow never find timely hitting. While simultaneously always finding bad luck with two strikes whether on offense or defense. Let’s all just chill a bit and not throw the baby out with the bath water. Hopefully my anti-hot takes will talk some fans back into reality. Don’t listen to all the hate when you can joke around with Space Cadet! This is the dose of serotonin for die-hard Astros fans you are looking for. Check out the video on the Substack: spacecadetsports.substack.com
