  • Astros Offense Statistically Good Until They’re Not?

Space Cadet, Paul Salazar Jr, steps behind the controls to try and bring sanity, peace and maybe a little reality to Astros fans. In this episode we look at the production the Astros have been getting from first base and realistic options for the Astros. We talk Jose Abreu, Jon Singelton, Joey Loperfido and even Garret Cooper. We also take a look at the Astros team stats so far this season. While this is a fan pod, we can still read the numbers on baseball reference. Looking at the numbers, it’s frustrating to see their runs/game and W-L column. Space Cadet also talks about the intangibles and emotion a bit as well. Can the Astros put all the pieces together for one game? Can pilates save my age-riddled body?? Can Space Cadet finally release the “winning” memes out of the vault??? Stay tuned, cadets.

    Vamos vamos Astros.

And Space Cadet goes off on body language experts and defends Joe Espada and says be wary of people that profit off of telling you to panic. • Astros Win Series/Look Ahead To Atlanta

On the day after the Astros win a series against the team from Arlington and go up on them for the season 4-3, it sure seems like a lot of people are down on the Astros. In this episode of the podcast Space Cadet recaps the series win and looks at the larger trends perhaps setting in for the Astros. We talk a hot offense. We talk solid middle relief pitching and a struggling starting squad. Why we shouldn’t have to always listen to doomer takes from the national media. And how that can lead to a spoiled/toxic fandom. Things are trending upward and we can be excited about Mr. Clean, Yanier Díaz.

Lastly, we take a look ahead at the upcoming series that will surely be a challenge to this Astros team. The Atlanta Braves are good on paper and are looking to put up a fight. What BIG questions does Space Cadet have before the series?

Let’s remember that we chose to be fans and it’s supposed to be a joy and fun. Let’s not become spoiled, angry fans that resemble NY…

  • Astros Drop Another With Tough Starting Pitcher Outing - Game Reaction - Space Cadet After Dark

It’s the season of sacrificial lambs for the Astros I guess…J.P. had a tough outing and had to stay on the mound to try to limit the amount of innings the ‘pen would need to pitch tonight. 4 innings was the best he could do. And while the Astros offense was improved and looking to bounce back, they couldn’t muster enough runs to put them over the top in Houston. I can’t wait for this to end. Come back JV. Come back Framber. I blame the eclipse for this because it feels like the world is over.

The Astros will return in: Let’s Go Win Some Baseball Games At Home.

It’s tough when even the wind is being a hater, y’all. But all that aside we are turning the page and looking forward to how the Astros can get back to their winning baseball ways.
