If I were starting my business’s social media today, here’s exactly how I would approach it:

1. I’d ensure that the business name and desired handle are available across all social media platforms and the website.

2. I’d keep the Instagram account private initially, then switch to a business or creator account once I’m ready to go public.

3. I’d practice showing up on my stories while the account is still private, so I can build confidence before sharing content with a larger audience once I have followers.

4. I’d show up with the energy and mindset of having 100,000 followers, even if I only had 100, because that’s how real growth happens!

5. I’d be proud of myself for taking the first step, knowing that starting is the hardest part—a step too many are hesitant to take.
