On this episode I'll be touching on a topic that is very personal to me, as it's something I struggled with early on in life. I'm going to tell you how to be assertive.
When I moved to New York City with ambitions to become a TV news anchor, I was jumping into an industry where you didn't just have to feel confident, you had to act confident too.
Assertiveness is often mixed up with a lot of negative perceptions of arrogance, aggression, or controlling / demanding behavior. In reality, being assertive is all about confidence, and in this podcast I share a couple of quick tips to help you become more assertive, including:
1. Say your affirmations.
2. Ensure your energy is going in the right direction.
3. Keep a close support system.
If you follow these tips you too can become more assertive and level up your career!
