The Spike Feed

We’re in the doldrums of December news, so we take a slight departure to talk about acquiring cards during the pandemic. We take a look at the current Historic metagame and we take sometime to talk more Demon Souls and David Fincher’s latest film. Thank you for your honor.

Happy Thanksgiving! This week we share our experiences with Historic, which continues to exceed our expectations. We also take a look at what Secret Lair has to offer and we have a few suggestions we hope Wizards will take for future offerings. We also talk more video games. Thank you for your honor.

The dust has settled with Kaladesh on Arena, and we go over some of the decks we’ve been playing in Historic. We take a look at where the metagame is at, and then we discuss the Arena’s economy. That plus loads of discussion on the new PlayStation 5. Thank you for your honor.

Kaladesh remastered has made its way into Arena and we share our thoughts on Vehicles, Energy, and the like. We take a look at some specific cards and what they’ll do in Historic. We also talk Halo 3 and the latest Assassin’s Creed. Thank you for your honor.

Another week and Standard is still sitting in a decent place. We talk about our experiences with the format, and while it may not be for everyone, it’s certainly healthier. We also take a look at Kaladesh remastered. A few key cards are missing, but we still take a look at what sort of impact this will have for Historic. Thank you for your honor.

We’re back for another episode. We go over our weeks with Standard where we continue to be impressed with how decent it is. We take a look at a very specific Commander card and feel spurned as Legacy players. We also talk Mandalorian and Forza Horizon. Thank you for your honor.

It’s a been a relatively quiet news weeks. We give our take with how Standard is faring. Ask if and when is a good time to pick up actual Standard staples in paper, and share our experiences with new PCs, Smart Lighting, and Schitt’s Creek. Thank you for your honor.

With a week of no Omnath behind us, we take a look at he current Stanard metagame. And you know what? It’s… actually pretty good. We take a look at Esper Dance, UB Control, and UB Rogues and see how they fare in the metagame. We also speculate on what will happen with Kaladesh remastered, and we talk smart homes. Thank you for your honor.

A relatively light news week that’s dominated by Omnath. We go over our weeks with regard to Standard and Historic, and the consistent theme seems to be Omnath. We also talk about a great PS5 breakdown video and celebrate the life and work of the great Eddie Van Halen. Thank you for your honor.

After the banning of Uro, we take a look at the current Standard metagame. The outlook seems better? And in case you still haven’t gotten your fill on the negative feedback of Walking Dead Secret Lair, you’re in luck! We also check out the video game Star Wars Squadrons. Thank you for your honor.
