Angel City FC was born in 2019 following a chance meeting between soccer royalty, Abby Wambach, and Hollywood superstar, Natalie Portman. And with an incredible team, including employee #1 Stephanie Rudnick, they’re not only building a club that seeks to address the significant equity issues associated with women’s sport, they’re also investing money (10% of sponsor revenue) and time into their local LA community and challenging the norms of how to create a women’s sports team.

• Aussie Olympians having to leave the village 48 hours after finishing their last event (what a vibe kill).

Great to watch the rebuilding of this team if you’re also watching Ted Lasso and keep an eye on the teams’ progress over the next week as they fight to be promoted. • The unexpected intersection of blackouts with Australian sport.
• The Brisbane 2032 Olympic Legacy forum which Lib attended. 
• Steph Reid! The Townsville Fire have been crowned the WNBL Champions and we had the best time catching up with the little terrier of the team.   
• World Athletics joined World Aquatics and World Rugby by announcing that they will be protecting the female category by banning transgender women. 
• Sports Shorts: Libby’s back to reading and got into Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, the founder of Nike. Georgie’s booking up her Easter holiday viewing with the Australian Grand Prix and surfing at Bells Beach.
