You've probably heard of small countries like Singapore, Vatican City, and Monaco. But have you heard of The Free Republic of Liberland?
I am usually nonsensical for 98% of the time, but for the remaining 2%, I can be very serious and provide nuggets of good life advices + interesting and useful information.
In this episode of The SSHM Podcast - Chicken Nuggets series (you can take it as a wack take on Chicken Soup for the Soul), listen in as I share my interesting findings on the 'world's third smallest sovereign state' (about 7km²) - Liberland, which was founded in 2015 by a couple.
P.S. National anthem of Liberland included.

In my last episode, I talked about Dad Logic that are sometimes just out of this world, and I think it is only right for me to also dedicate an episode to my mother, Aunty Sally.
Listen in to my episode #89 on Aunty Sally and her antics.
P.S. After witnessing mother's love again as an adult through seeing my wife caring for H, I have to say that a mother's love is one of the most powerful and amazing things in the world. Shoutout to Aunty Sally and all mothers who gave up whatever they had to so that they can be the world to their kids.

Early release this week! - sorry for the no-show last week as H fell ill and was hospitalised for a few days. 😔
Most fathers would have their fair share of dad jokes and logic that are sometimes just out of this world. Uncle Stanley has his own arsenal of logic that are at times ridiculous to a point that it becomes hilarious.
Listen in to some of these classic ones in this episode.
In mandarin, the pronunciation of the digit '88' is synonymous with 'Father', and I shall dedicate this episode to my dad for carrying the family with Aunty Sally so that DDK and I can experience the world as it is.
P.S. A shoutout to all fathers who play their roles and responsibilities well - keep grinding, but don't forget to take a breather for yourself whenever possible (even if it's just a short thrash talk session with your friends).

Recently, I chanced upon this Reddit thread - Unethical Life Pro Tips, and I have to say that some of the tips are really creative, witty, funny, and some could even be real modern solutions to modern problems.
Listen in to this handpicked compendium of funny unethical life hacks from this page, sprinkled with some of my very own.

I'm sure there're times when you watch a movie and you feel like you know how you would react in real life if you're put into the same situation. But I can tell you, life doesn't happen the way we imagine it to be every single time.
Listen in to this fight or flight situation that happened to me more than a decade ago and find out what I mean.

In my last episode, I advised husbands and BFs - "Don't think about winning. Just think about losing lesser."
On White Valentine's Day in Japan or Korea, the guys who received a present on Valentine's Day will gift chocolates or sweets back to the person. In this episode, I am representing all wives and GFs to return this favour back to the guys.
I sourced around for real inputs from real wives and GFs, and I managed to put up a long list of proof on why sometimes the male counterparts are really just asking for it.
Can your husbands (or BFs) really be trained? Listen in to this list of top moves they pull and how I conclude it with the movie, "How to Train your Dragon."
P.S. Sorry for the no-show last week. I was really busy with a hectic week at work.

"Don't think about winning. Just think about losing lesser." - a wise married man.
The truth is, it's hard to win your wife.
A few days ago, I met up with some of my guy friends who are married with kids, and a married men support group was formed there and then. We started talking about the different daily situations we face with our wives and why we can never win. I personally think that the content would make a very good variety show.
Listen and learn why you can't (or should not try to) win your wife - this tutorial comes packed with REAL CASE STUDIES.
P.S. On a more important note - on behalf of all married men, we would like to wish our lovely wives a Happy Valentine's Day, and that we love you. We really do. =))

Today is the 6th Day of the Lunar New Year, and most of us will be returning to our offices to 开工大吉. Workplace can be stressful for some, and some may even dread going back to work. The key to it for me is to try to find fun or funny moments even in the smallest ones at work - and yes, even if it's in my mistakes.
Listen in to this compilation of my epic workplace boo-boos that still make me chuckle when I think about them.
For your hearing pleasure, please.
Regards
SSHM

Some wise uncle once said, "Chinese New Year can be late but better don't owe things!" Hence, here's my late night episode.
It's Chinese New Year's Eve tomorrow and I wanted to find a creative way to wish my Chinese listeners.
Since I probably can't visit all my friends again this year due to social distancing measures, I thought to kill two birds with one stone - I decided to call my friends to catch up through a simple 接龙 game starting with the most basic greeting - 恭喜发财, and see what roaring string of well wishes I would eventually end up with.
Listen in to find out how this CNY well wishes collabo turns out. HUAT AH!

If you recall, I did a special series for my episode 11 to 14 on a trip to Krabi with some of my funny friends. Recently, I remembered another fun, funny and memorable trip to Krabi - this time with some of my cousins and their plus ones.
Listen in to this story where we went all in with scooter rental and how I held my shit together (literally and metaphorically).
P.S. A CNY extract bonus at the end to get us in the mood like the CNY songs playing in NTUCs now.
