Residents of Rabbittown neighbourhood are trying to make their area safer. People there met a couple of weeks ago to talk about forming a Neighbourhood Watch. The owners live in the area and they're meeting tonight to look at other ways to tackle the crime in the area. That's where Garrett Barry is this morning at Old Dublin Bakery in St. John's.

A massive real estate deal is on the table that would dramatically shift the real estate landscape in St. John's. Bally Haly golf club may be packing up and moving to Clovelly and the owners of Clovelly may be getting their hands on the Bally Haly property in the city's east end. The price of diesel has skyrocketed, puishing the cost over 3 dollars a litre in parts of the province.

Diesel increased by up to 31 cents a litre overnight.That puts the cost at $2.98 on the Avalon Peninsula, 3-dollars in central Newfoundland and almost $3.05 in Labrador West. It's another unscheduled adjustment by the Public Utilities Board, after diesel shot up 27 cents a litre on Saturday. The price of stove oil in western Labrador and Churchill Falls has also jumped up by more than 34 cents a litre. The PUB says it's because of a shortage of ultra-low sulphur kerosene, which is used to keep the fuels from thickening in cold weather.

Folks looking to get their prescriptions filled at Lawtons and Sobeys have been in a bit of a bind the past couple of days. On Saturday, those pharmacies experienced what is being describe as "an IT system issue" meaning clients have been unable to fill their prescriptions. The Morning Show reached out to the provincial pharmacists association yesterday. They declined out request for an interview but recommended we get in touch with the provincial pharmacy board.
