Stage one of your life is salvation by faith alone in Christ alone. “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved” (Acts 16:31) “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in Him [through Him] we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21) When you receive Christ as your Savior, God the Holy Spirit will impute to you the righteousness of Jesus Christ and this is what allows you to have a relationship with God. Stage two is the Christian life. The Bible says we are to “... grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)
