After witnessing the macabre display of dozens of species trapped in carbonite, the intrepid trio of Tad, Gyd and Vickers (as well as their new found friend, Bradlonobyx) continues the search of the mysterious asteroid that has somehow pulled their ship from hyperspace...

Having unfrozen the bedraggled Nikto, Bradlonobyx, the crew of the Titan's Mercy discovers more dark secrets in the heart of the asteroid....

After a quick battle with the mechanized arm at the entrance of the asteroid and running desperately short on oxygen, the trio of Tad, Gyd and Vickers reach an airlock at last...

After failing to restart the starfighter's engines or gain power for the twin light laser cannons she possessed, Tad tosses down the unused power cell. Seeing its volatile potential as a makeshift explosive, Vickers chips away at a weakened mechanism at one corner of the hangar door with his vibrosword, making just enough space to push the power cell through. However during this process, his weapon snaps, piercing his suit below his left shoulder. After a less than enthusiastic attempt by Gyd to patch a hole in the spacesuit, Vickers discovers he is now on borrowed time as he levels his blaster at the power cell and blows a hole in one corner of the door. A successful slice or two later, and the door opens to reveal a dimly lit passageway into the heart of the structure. Will the crew of the Titan's Mercy find an adequate patch for Vickers' suit in time? Will they discover the missing smuggler and unravel the mystery surrounding the asteroid?

Rolling like confused hamsters around the spinning tunnel entryway into the heart of the asteroid, the barely capable trio of Tad, Gyd and Vickers manage at last to reach the large hangar door at the back of the structure. Having accessed the video files on a datapad found aboard an abandoned starfighter, Vickers discovers that the missing pilot had run short on oxygen before passing out. However a strange shadow at the end of the final file has the crew wondering just what lies beyond the door. Will our heroes find a way to get it open?
